So I have these 2 images that i combined in photshop, and they fade into one another. the size is 1800px by 1200px however when i upload them to photobucket and try to use the image as a background on my site the size is much smaller and not the same resolution. Can anyone tell me how to figure this out? When I upload the 1800x1200 image to a photo hosting site (ive tried fickr and photobucket) the resolution sizes down to 1024x623...wtf? why? Screens: As you can see there are white bars on either side of the image, their shouldnt be as the with is 1800 pixels which plenty long enough. I need help immediatley!!!! Thanks
that's not photoshop nor photobucket, its the HTML in your coding....I think I have the correct code... I may be wrong, but its just a thought.
no, in photoshop the size is 1800x1200 when i uploaded it to online the resolution changes to 1024x623
okkk, if you insist, try imageshack, or upload it as an attachment here and ill help you. but also, you do realize if the viewer's monitor is bigger they will see blank whiteness unless you have it repeat
Yeah I understand, I had an dark metal background that was 1800x1200 the same size as this image im trying to upload, and it worked plenty well. I think flickr and photobucket have a max file size so im going to try imageshack
the file size is 989kb....i think they have a resolution limit....1024 by 623 cause thats what it always resizes my large images too.
ok i may have fixed it, however i need some one with a large monitor, larger than 1280x800 resolution, to go to my site and tell me if the image needs to be larger....it needs to fit the screen really well. no white bars on the sides.
hmmm....dont know how to blend it into another texture....i could add a giant 3000px by 200px texture, but how do i blend it? so that its all seamless? caues the car portion is an image in and of its self and the street texture is too. ill have to blend each one and add several masks wont I?
true,,,or you could make the edges of the picture gradient into transperant, and have an underlying image that scretches to infinity?
would you mind helping me out with this? I could im you and send you the image over that and then work together...if thats cool with you.
here's the best one of done so far Uploaded with ImageShack.us it looks as though the car is acutally driving on the street, when its not.
the gradient edges is all i really need done...just have to blend both the car part and the road part into a really big texture
ahhh, then you'll repeat the road? ok, i think I got you. what you can do is lasso the edges, and then gradiant that but erase parts on the edge too so it becomes see through
