Yes, iPod touch 2nd generation has problems with the video. We are working on that and will have a patch out asap.

If you have any information that can help us squash this bug then please relay it to us. Otherwise we are going to have to remove the intro movie playing

 

oh, i see. about the crashing, ill try to play a bit more then send you a crashlog if the problem ensues.

also, any ideas about the no sound/music bug?

 

oh, yes.

Basically we use the builtin video player in your ipod touch. So we start it and hand over the audio and video to it. But the video crashes and doesn't return audio to us. so there's no sound for you.

At least that is what we suspect. Sadly we don't own a 2nd gen ipod touch ourselves and it is kinda hard to get one these days. Else I would run out and buy it immediately.

EDIT: So the bad solution would be to remove the intro movie in the beginning.. however we want to solve that.

Yes, I understand that. Can you hold off for a day and we can get you a version without movie. It should solve the problem temporarily until we get a proper fix out.

well, i want planning to get the review done until release anyway, since we've got a writer getting the preview done. maybe you could submit and update without the video?

 

Uhm, we didn't send a build out today. We will send out one to the people we know have an ipod touch 2.0 within a few hours.

Oh, yes, we will most likely submit an update without the video on friday if we can't fix it in any other way. So it should be accepted sometime next week. If you want you can give your UDID to us and we can provide you with a proper version earlier.

The 3rd gen 8gb iPod Touches are actually 2nd gen. Congratulations on front page and added your game to my sig.

@jak- Did you restart your iTouch before you played the game? After that you should have no troubles with the crashing.

I didn't know that. Going to go and buy one as soon as the stores open then. Gonna be a little late for work but hopefully this'll help us solve the problems. Will keep you guys updated.

 

This is clearly not my day today. Apparently everyone in Sweden has a DAY OFF today. So no stores were open

But we're going to upload a version without a movie later today and try to get Apple to speed approve it. Not sure if that is possible but we'll give it a try. Hopefully it will be working for the 2g touch users by release.
