unzip the file then drag the provision or adhoc file and the one that says spirit app into the app list on itunes and it should show up
I'm going to take a moment to thank the people who sent in their feedback (still need more!). We are reading everything carefully and are trying to fix everything that you guys are pointing out. Some examples on what we have done with the feedback we have gotten: - Fixed the visibility of the wind tunnel. It was previously hard to spot since the leaves that were blown out had the same dark tint as the background. - Moved the first checkpoint to make sure you get that one. It isn't very fun to start from the beginning of the level just because you missed a checkpoint. - Added an improved marker on the world map to signify your current location. There's now also a tooltip to help you find the map the first time. - Separated the menu buttons and made the hitboxes bigger to make it easier to press the correct button. There are also some additional things I would like to get some comments on aside from the things in the survey (please fill that one out). Those are: - How to improve controls and how you move about in the level. - How to improve navigability of the level. Change the map? Add something specific to major rooms? Maybe even road signs? Anything else? Thank you guys for taking your time We are very eager to hear from more of you. P.S. Was my email recieved? And what was the intro suppose to be shall test some more in couple of hours as it it 12 am here, awesome game I think there should maybe be a button when you hold it you'll stop and charge to boost rather, this makes it easier to go upwards
I think you should directly show the player where the cleanse button is as part of a tutorial at the beginning. That would save a lot of wasted time and potential frustration at the beginning. I thought the tilt controls made it easy enough to control the squirrel. Though, he seemed to be drawn to the walls/floors when he was nearby causing him to stick into it. In the final version, are you going to make the squirrel take damage for crashing into walls/floors? I liked the map mostly only showing the areas you had visited so far. The rest of the map was blanked out with pathways that showed you could go further. It made me feel like the squirrel was on an adventure. I think being able to scroll through the map instead of just seeing one specific area you're in would improve navigation. Maybe you could have the player rely on navigation from the map with the major rooms showing and have some sort of symbol or colored dot that indicates this. The player then has to get there by figuring the way to the major room out from the map if the path isn't already drawn out for them. I think arrow signs would look out of place.
Right, I have another question for you guys. How far did you guys get so far and how much time do you estimate that you spent to get there? Also as of a popular request I'm going to have the trailer music released for download. It didn't make it into the game due to memory restrictions but a lot of people seemed to like it so ya.. keep an eye out! I'll ask the testing guy when he comes in. You'll receive an e-mail within the hour if we have gotten it or not. Thanks for the feedback though! Thanks for the feedback. Lots of good suggestions here. Just to address the things I have the answers for right now: - There will be no damage taken from sticking to the wall. This is actually not intended to be a penalty. - You can click the map icon to get a bigger map that you can scroll through. We will add a tooltip for this. I'll look into your other suggestions cause I thought they were very good. I just have to sell it to the rest of the team
I am trying to play the game (beta02). I restarted, reinstalled, restarted. But when click on new game, it crashed in my iphone. I will try it on the itouch tonight. Will report soon. Sorry for the delay. EDIT: I removed some apps (forgot which games) and remove provision file and beta02 file. Reinstall both file and then restart iphone. It works now. Try to play more tonight. Because I am lost. I just visited the first check point and then don't know where do I need to go. Report soon.
I think the controls are fine. I have not had any problems with them. As for navigation that's the tricky part because the whole time, I didn't know if I had to go anywhere specific I was just exploring around. The map was fine.I liked that it expands when you touch it. Once I had explored around it did help guide me to where I needed to go.And the color coated doors helped a lot too. I wouldn't use road signs but maybe small hints that something is around or of importance. I think I made it through the whole thing or at least got all the power ups available it took me about 1-2 hours somewhere around there. Are we suppose to be able to get pass the red doors? And I also noticed that once I saved at a crystal amber that when I died and was returned to the checkpoint. I would lose my power ups and have to go back and get them again. I would like to be able to keep my current power ups when I am returned to a checkpoint, instead of having to go searching for them again. Also I would like for the checkpoints to save whenever you pass by them again. That way when your exploring and pass by a closer checkpoint you spawn there instead of the last one that you discovered. Thats about it. The game is coming along great.
Yes, there's an issue with savegames right now. You are supposed to keep whatever powerups you have gotten... and yes, you will be able to save again if you come back to the checkpoint. I think we have it fixed for the final build though. Thanks for the feedback. Working on making important areas seem more interesting so you'll want to have a look around. Oh, and you should be able to pass through the red doors. There's a powerup for that. Maybe it isn't explained well enough on how to use it?
I went to all three checkpoints and got the cleanse and extra life power-ups in about 1-2 hours. I wasn't sure about what to do with the red vines or boulder in my way afterwards though. I tried shooting at them unsuccessfully. The only thing I could think of was to search through the murky water, but I didn't want to risk it too much since I lost a steady flow of life.
I'm guessing you didn't get past the blowing wind tunnels? There's a path up at one of the checkpoints that leads you to the Haste powerup. Did you get that?
Heya, here's a new gameplay trailer for you guys. Same song but with the new updated graphics. Will make another trailer next week with a new song! We are probably going to try to get another test out. If you guys can then please help us test it during the weekend EDIT: Now it works!
I think I know what might be the confusion here. The zip file provides two files: One with the extension ".mobileprovision" and one with the extension ".app" . The .app one shows as a zipped Archive on Windows machines, but you don't need to unzip the .app file, just drag it into iTunes. If this is not the problem, please tell me what type of archiving software you use (winrar, winzip), and a step by step description of what you are doing.
I think I've got that part now, but it won't drag into the applications list. Just to be clear, you mean the applications list under iTunes > My iPhone > Applications tab, right?
Heya. Try the steps in found in this link. EDIT: And you should have another Applications tab on the left side where your other apps are residing on your computer (not your iphone) EDIT#2: This link might be better. Trying to find one with images but it's hopeless!
