10,347,611 with the Corsair, Point Defense and Vulcan drones, that's it. I'm comin' for ya, void. I'm comin'.
One thing I've learned is to never get too attached to anything in this iOSInternetCyberworld we participate in. One update and the things you liked are altered for the worse. One update and the things you didn't like are altered for the better. Either way, rolling with the changes comes with the territory, icon variation included.
Yeap that's true. But anyway things usually change for the better. Of course, Phoenix HD is one of them! I would say the new icon is quite ok though I prefer the old one. I'm just worried that in the iOS menu screen the icon looks too cluttered due to the intricate details of the Phoenix. Anyone felt so? Anyway I can change the icon back without reverting back to the older versions, so I'll see then.
Can I just say: The new update is just FAN-TAS-TIC! I expected just a coin doubler, but a coin tippler means that I can now choose every power-up except the Phoenix Wake, which means I should be able to be more consistent. It also means that players that buy it should be pretty much on the same level. It does come with unfortunately players not opting in for it not being on the same level as those that do, but $2/£1.49 seems a good deal to me. Another note on the 'fremium' nature of the game, I believe this puts a nice $7/£5 pricetag on the maximum amount you need to spend in PHD and play a nice consistent game, barring players that just mow through their cash and the ones the coin packs are intended for. PS: Before everyone else picks PHD back up with the CT, Diamond here I come! >:3
Haven't had a chance to play the update yet. The coin tripler maybe good for me cause I like to use drones and normally don't get to use them cause of high cost.
Thanks! Connector, yeah it's likely worth it, with the CT you shouldn't have to think twice about getting them
Congratz Necro, that's a phenomenal score! (more than twice my own ) I think you guys will start to appreciate the icon along with iOS7, it fits right up there on the home screen
I have not downloaded iOS7 (afraid to) so I assume you designed the icon to match the look of the new os. I think what I liked with the gold icon was that it was not a literal presentation of the Phoenix, almost like it was a mask. Both the gold and the new icons LOOK good, but there was a sense of mystery with the gold icon that I feel is lost with using the actual picture of the Phoenix itself.
Having so many games crashing and losing progress on due to ios 7, this game made me feel good that it ran fine on ios 7.
iOS 7 iOS 6 Wow, ios 7 looks so ugly, background doesnt fit now, and only 9 icons, but what was interesting was the new icon and old icon here... Kinda miss the old icon, but guess it wouldn't look good with the pastel colors of ios 7. And to make things worse, plasma sky and blazing star don't work anymore.
The coin tripler iAP made me take another look at this former best-friend. While it seemed much more fair now that a 3mil+ run would fund the next run, everything about the enemies and backgrounds felt like a chore because I had seen them so many times. Most of the recent content updates have focused heavily on the player side of things, but I hope the next few will focus on the enemies and backgrounds. I would have no problem paying for a completely new set of enemies or backgrounds that can be mixed and matched with the old set to create a unique challenge. Each enemy pack could be separate and leaderboards could exist for combinations. I think there's only so much new life you can breathe into the game with new player ships.
iOS7 sounds like a disaster. I am avoiding it until necessary. Always appreciate your feedback sapphire. I'll wait to see what El says about different backgrounds and enemies before I chime in.
Wow sounds really bad when I hear some apps don't even work in iOS7. Though Phoenix HD also had some problems they were mostly cosmetic due to some difference in handling textures and filtering. iOS 7 takes a while to get used to, but to be fair I wouldn't want to go back, it's so much more modern. (aside from the technical benefits under the hood) Our new icon is more basic in use of colors and shading, with a red that pops a bit more and a fully detailed ship to emphasise that this app is a game. If iOS 7 didn't do a weird transformation on the splash screen while the app is opened, it would really look like the icon is already the game running right on your home screen Good to see you pop back in here with your feedback sapphire_neo and I definitely agree, but then what are the expectations. It is (of course) still "the same game" receiving content update. Your suggestions are always welcome and I think such drastic changes are nice, but should be reserved for new apps
I think ios 7 was designed more for the ipad 4 than ipad 3, so sluggish with an ipad 3. For some reason a lot of games on ipad 3 are not coming up ipad retina like before. You got any reason why and if it happens to ipad 4? But yeah, lots of games don't work, lots of games won't run ipad retina, lots of games lost progress (ironically Dead Trigger), so maybe in a bit after updates things will be better. Hopefully. But right now, the ipad 3 I don't think can handle ios 7, so now I feel like my ipad 3 is extinct. Kinda sad, cause I never felt that way before. Apple seems to have abandoned the ipad 3 now. Sad, but time for an ipad 5. Phoenix hd was a breath of fresh air though, that it worked and looked fine.
