I remember after an update, I was number one in Los Angeles, but probably cause I was one of the first ones to dowload it, cause I suck.
Um... Ok. Maybe. Just that i dont know what the average scores are here. Also, i really just paid attention to shmups since the release of Danmaku Unlimited 2, where i really got hooked and SV convinced me to try out Shogun, Phoenix HD and a few more titles, and being 'new' to the genre, i didnt think i was good at all. All i see are scores posted in these threads more than twice or even thrice my scores so yeah, that gave me the idea i was horrible at the game. LOL.
Anything in the 4,5,6 million range is a solid run. Anything in the 7,8,9 million range is a great run. Anything in the 10-15 million range is an exceptional run. Anything above 15 million and you're a God among insects. And yes, I just made up those numbers, but I think that is a good ballpark range. Of course it also depends on the ship, boosts, etc. Either way, I think you're better at shooters than you give yourself credit for, EP. I also PM'd you
@Exact You don't need to worry about scores trebbling yours much, that's a result of practice and getting used to the game; past the 3m the difficulty stepping up a lot but then staying pretty much the same and the score increasing rapidly means that there isn't too much of a leap betweet you climbing scores; Also, those really high scores are a players best score, sometimes they just get a really good run they don't usually get; a good example is my Phoenix score is higher than my mirage and corsair score, even though it's inferior I had a particularily good run with it. @Connector I don't think any of us are Shmup gods, just look at how difficult some of them get! www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQZuidKexBQ I've never even attempted it, it looks insane.
Oh....my....God.... I feel like the real noob here now. My highest scores apparently were mostly in the 3 mils, Trinity ~5 mil. Phantom closing 2 mil. Well, at least when I check my scores globally. Clinching mostly golds but silver for 2 ships, Phoenix and Mirage I think. If I ever scored higher in the past (Probably not), I won't know... Looks like I've never gotten a great run before.... What am I doing on this forum?!?! *Face smacked* Sounds like I need to brush up more before crashing the shmup party here.
Don't worry at all! All you need is practice and to get a better grip of the game. It took me many months to get here and there were periods of time it took me ages to progress. I have a reccomendation; try practicing on the Shogun for a bit, the gameplay style will help you practice dealing with getting bullets to follow you and although can be hard, pushes you on other ships. Also, I got to a limit then tried playing some other shmups so that I got a bit of veriety, that could help you as well
Yes, no one seems to like my terms like shmup gods or shmup experts. So to be politically correct, the term shall be active TA shmup thread posters who are in the top ten in the world (shmup gods). Actually, I am pretty sure out of the active TA shmupper posters, I am probably the worst. So technically, I probably am the biggest shmup noob out of you all here.

It's in the same list as the coin packs but it shows 'invalid' due to the App Store being slow at 'activating' the new iAP. Normally we hold updates for a couple of hours, because we know the App Store always does this to new iAP's, but there wasn't really room to wait today This 'should' fix 'itself'.

Haha, well the coin trippler won't run away, nor will Phoenix HD (unless you delete it). Thanks btw, we love the new icon as well. We think it will look great on the iOS7 home screens. The red really pops and the full ship graphics emphasise the gamey-ness Funny thing is we hardly had to change the game UI to fit with the whole iOS7 design language. We were already using line icons and transparent, borderless, edge-to-edge views
Just updated too. Still got some work to do before i can get some game time. I cant find the tripler either. On the list of Coin packs, right below the "coin packs" above 10,000 coins IAP, there is a "invalid product" showing. Could that be the tripler not showing correctly? EDIT: Wow... look at how delayed my post refreshed. LOL. No worries, i read the posts above.

In US$ of course, I downloaded this game from the US store using my US account (I have a local account too, but it has no money in it and never will). I'm running out of money in my US account, and I can't replenish it because I do not set aside expenses for online accounts (Which is why I never buy online stuff currently). I'm purely funded by FreeMyApps, which I stopped using some time ago since I have no time for it. Also, there's this review in the US store: "...18th Sept 2013 - the iOS7 is so screwed up. The graphics are jerky and get stuck often. I am currently using iOS7 on iPhone 5." Anyone using iOS 7 public release now experiencing this? Or is this true even for iOS 5 and 6? I'm using iTouch 4G, so staying at the latest iOS 5 version.
I'm playing on the iphone 5 with the newly updated ios7 and have not experience any graphical glitches or hang ups. Everything runs smooth as ever. Only problem is that I'm not able to purchase the coin tripler which costs $1.99 at the moment, my purchase keeps on getting timed out.
Yes, the Coin Trippler is $1.99. Some iAP setting was wrong on our end as well. We immediately correct it, but that's why it's taking a bit longer to become available. Should work today.
