There are many many many many people trying to hack their way into scores / coins / ships. Though these scores are submitted they are removed eventually. If you are unsure about a score be sure to check it the next day, if it's still there it is legit I can't go into more detail, that would already expose information I'd rather keep and use as an advantage (the 9,271,718 score with the Phantom is legit btw )
Ugh, I HATE hearing this... I know it comes with the territory, especially now that there's those IAP apps that you don't even need to JB to use. But it still sucks.
Yeh, Apple is helping a bit with iOS 7 though. The auto-update is nice and they are introducing the possibility for developers to check if a person actually bought an app! Yes, this is actually not available at this moment (and never was), it is unbelievable yes. It is currently possible to do this for iAP's, that's one of the reasons why we prefer to use those
On a slightly different note than geek hackers, I have a new idea! I know, everyone is thrilled. I kept trying to think of a purpose for the green energy particles after you achieve Overdrive. They pretty much go to waste. Wouldn't it be cool if they made your ship go into Ghost mode AND you can fire in Ghost mode?! Of course this would be for short bursts. So, Overdrive on, you collect green particles, your ship goes into Ghost mode and you keep Overdrive! Invincible with firepower! Ok so, let's make that happen. Chop chop
Just make it so people who don't purchase it can't submit scores. If anyone's too cheap to spend a buck then too bad, so sad.
...or maybe the green particles could count towards score after Overdrive is filled. I brought the same concept up to John over at Plasma Sky and then he made the health drops count towards points if your health was maxed.
@SumoSplash, that idea would be great, not only will it not go to waste painfully at times but can reflect the player's skill score-wise. @alexq, yeah... They don't seem to be working anymore for me too... Especially the one where you have to play for over 10 hours; definitely clocked over 10 hours... By the way, got a new high score of 9.8 million. Used Extra Powerups and Point Defence Drone only. Died against a very heavily armed Brute (dense horizontal bullet shots, 3-shot exploding bullets, 3-burst directional turret and I think it was a continuous boomerang turret) with 0 Ghost Energy and Powerup, using them all before hand on a swarm of heavily armed fast firing scouts + very heavily armed jesters, which gave me a lot of coins as well, hehe!
Yeah, I hate waste. I just see all these delicious green particles being gobbled up by my ship after I have Overdrive and they aren't doing anything for me. Actually, this could be a universal idea for all the ships, since the same happens with them too at full health. At the very least it could be applied to the score, which would be an even bigger incentive to not getting hit.
There is one scenario, or cheat, that I would like to experience, just once. I would like to have the shield equipped for one extended round, probably for about a half hour, while using the Shogun. I think one of the prettiest and most satisfying experiences in all of Phoenix HD's vast spectrum of visual delights is grazing bullets and not taking any damage and watching those red blades fly back and forth. I'd get super close so I could shock each vessel and cut them to pieces simultaneously, over and over again. Yup, that's what I'd like. EDIT: Speaking of the Shogun, wasn't there a hit circle around the cockpit before the update, or am I just losing my marbles?
Ha... Yeah, I think they took it out and replaced it with the pulsating blue cockpit (I could be wrong though... but I don't remember it ever pulsating or being so vibrant before the hitzone circle was removed...)
Hmm no we didn't remove anything this update, as far as I remember We only set the blue circle to be 'always visible', while it used to only appear in black & white mode. Additionally we added the little blue trail to improve visibility while moving. So the appearance of the cockpit might be a bit different, but only because we added a blue circle on top of it (which doesn't rotate while banking etc)
It's a slow pulsating blue circle on top of the cockpit. It is hard to see, but it makes the cockpit easier to 'recognise'
Or when the health does nothing to a full health ship, feels so bad! Especially after fighting Harpies with full HP still, all that going to waste! And yes, implementing that on all would be real neat and would force players to play more carefully and skillfully too, learning tricks and other things. And of course, this would lead to even greater competition! Maybe another idea would be that the health could go into some build-up gauge or something at a slow pace to make a full health recovery item which could be used as a back up or something only when you're running on your last legs. And agreed to Shogun and Shields, best combo ever! Shogun and other powerups just don't seem to work well since they keep getting cancelled out when grazing, therefore you're not getting everything out of them. @Selachii, only realised the blue trail today while playing and got to say that's pretty neat!
Right, the blinking blue light. I see that. But wasn't there a circle outside the ship before, around the cockpit? Or am I just losing my mind?
That's what I was saying when I mentioned the Phantom going into Ghost mode automatically after you reach Overdrive and keep gaining the green health particles. There wouldn't be an actual 'gauge' but instead you would just automatically be transitioned into Ghost mode BUT you'd keep Overdrive too. This would only happen for a second or two, since the green particles don't drop all that long, but it would be ridiculously powerful (and ridiculously fun). It would be a type of 'super bonus' mode.
Well, before 2.0 there was the "show hit-circle" feature in the settings that would draw a red line around your hit-circle. Though this was removed almost a year ago Overflow of powerparticles to score is back on the 'to consider' for the next update
