@Connector: The other ships don't necessarily make the game "faster" in terms of enemy projectile speeds etc. However they do make the experience different. To quickly profile the other ships: The Mirage benefits from 'standing still' so it's special weapon can start firing, which increases in strength the longer you don't move. The Corsair allows you to lock onto turrets so you can get specific turrets out of the way faster or move around more freely as the homing missiles will do their job. The Shogun has no traditional weapons and destroys the enemies by grazing enemy bullets. This one is by far the most 'different' from the standard Phoenix ship. It is more difficult, but the grazing is not capped, so you can eventually dish out a great deal of dps, hence it's reign on the leaderboards. I will see what I can do in terms of screenshots/teaser images
Sorry guys, but you kinda disappoint me here! <3 715mil? The screenshot says 715k, it's a low score, but there's some new stuff in there, so I hoped you guys would go on a sherlock/csi-style investigation and speculate It wasn't meant as a heartless tease at least! Anyway, little news has been coming out since we are working hard on making the update awesome, once that is done I'll have time to tell you more.
Tease Just kidding El! I am confused here. I must be oblivious because there has be some hidden meaning here behind that Twitter post that I am completely missing. Keep in mind that I never use Twitter. However, I am always up for a good Easter egg hunt.
Hehe, well it's not necessarily about the tweet, though it's a tweet from the new version, but the attached screenshot from (a small part of) the new 'interface'
I had to click on Tijmen's name icon to see the photos at the bottom. I am still feeling highly teased, but unfortunately not in 'foreplay' sense, but rather the 'blue balls' sense LOL.
We're in the final stretch guys, working our assess off to get it submitted asap, now that the iOS6 GM has been released. We'll support the new iPhone 5 resolution as well! How? Well the 'current screen' moves up, and we show extra space below, however you cannot move there with your ship (as it would give an advantage). You will see all effects etc there though, like boomerangs coming back for you! The Trinity has turned out totally awesome, it uses several mechanics in such a way it creates a unique and fresh experience. This ship could (again) be a game on its own, it's so great. It has a much wider appeal than the Shogun, so I think this will become the most popular ship of them all! More details soon!
The Trinity really has been everywhere since we started prototyping back in march. For example, at first it had sideships, something I know you guys wanted to see as well. We tried a lot with these sideships. First they would add like regular weapon upgrades. At some point they had their own hitcircle, so they could be destroyed, so the weapon upgrades would be 'infinite'. The weapons on these sideships were random, so you would end up with a big flock of followers with different weapons that all got blasted out of the sky during busy patterns It was fun as a gimmick, but not very fun to try and be good at (basically playing with more than one hitcircle). And that was just one of the many prototypes! ps We kept some form of the sideships in, nothing like the above though.
Yeah, I'm going to buy the trinity as soon as I get the update, sounds like a cool ship! I love sideships!
My apologies, it doesn't have sideships anymore! Sideships will be available in the game though, for all ships. My post was an attempt to start a long war-story about the development of Trinity and all the prototypes we tried to come to the final ship We haven't revealed any specifics about the Trinity yet, though it does use some mechanics from the prototypes that followed the sideships.... time manipulation...
