@sapphire_neo: These renders are from the actual models used in game, just from a different camera angle (and in perspective instead of orthographic projection). So they might appear a bit different in proportion, but they are the actual same models @your_personal_robot: There were no changes in resolution etc. The iPhone 4S and iPad 2 run on native resolution. @Guise: There are some struggles with that, so no promises
FINALLY! Got to play with Shogun! Ok, no surprises here, I'm thrilled. However, there are some things that I don't really understand. Sometimes, grazing slower bullets doesn't seem to activate attacks. Is there a speed requirement or something (for ship n bullet) to activate graze? Or am I not close enough to the bullet?
Selachii, yeah I encountered another one and realized it was just perception messing with me... maybe because it's such a rare spawn? Also, I love that the Harpy actually loses its turret arms when you destroy them
This is my #1 request too. Actually all I need is for the sound fx to be louder when I play my own music. Because playing your own music does disable the game's music but the sound fx are so quiet that they completely disappear.
Enemy Health Bars. For good measure I went back and looked through the entire thread, since I'm sure you couldn't have misread my post that poorly. And, something from Selachii earlier to settle the matter. Additionally, syntheticvoid, RCranium666, tops2, weehomer and flameon supported my "petition" to bring back at least the option to enable/disable enemy health bars for large enemies. Health bar debate: WTF? Oh yes I remember that one. Btw, there were two health bar debates that I remember (one being the player ship) and from memory, they were resolved weren't they? Selachii's response was quite adequate so yeah, I thought that was the end of that. Anyhow, do we still need a 'boss' enemy health bar? The fire-closer-to-cockpit works quite perfectly. And yes, I clearly remember Selachii saying the health bar was inelegant, a statement I now support .
It's not really the end of that. I would still like the option available to me. As would others. It does give you a clearer tactical advantage. The same reason as why we now have options to turn on hit circle and player health bar, which were not present in the original release. ...
I used to focus more on the health bar than the beautiful graphics of a flaming ship. Now that there's no bar to glare at, I can place my full attention at the flickering flames and particle effects That's my reason against a health bar (which is no doubt, a tactical advantage)
I gotta admit, after taking my eyes off the bullets on screen, all 4 ships look really bad on my retina display. Everything around the ship is fine, just not the ship.
Love the new ships, especially the Romulan Bird of Prey from TOS. I have an idea for a new enemy and new player ship. Enemy ship has shields and beam weapons. Player ship smaller and has beam weapons like Raiden IV and Lightning fighter (red ship). Enemy ship's beam weapons would be pulsed so as to not overpower player.
