I even bought the supporter pack within the first 5 minutes of playing. However... I've run into tons of bugs, including a huge game breaking one. None of these issues happened when I played the first game, which I have spent money on and beat multiple times. There are tons of bugs but the most pressing one is that the boss battles all freeze up every time you are about to beat them. You can quit and come back and it counts as a win so it's "fine" seemingly... But then on the special 3-X (final?) boss battle, the game will just kick you back to the title screen and reset your entire run after you win. You get no XP at all for those hours of playing and it doesn't show I've cleared the story mode. It's extremely frustrating. I tried multiple times with the same result. So now I basically can just play until 3-X and then lose all my progress. I checked on the official Discord and other people had similar issues. Sadly, the dev responded very quickly and just said he has never seen those bugs before and will just increase the iOS requirement in response. That's probably the worst thing he could've said. Instead of looking for the bugs and trying to fix them, he immediately said basically he'll just lock out people who aren't on his iOS. It really soured my mood. Someone said the game looks pretty similar to the 1st game overall which I agree, so it's not like the game got a huge overhaul / makeover and now needs a brand new iOS to run. I kind of want to refund my purchase but I still like the game. It's just... I'm basically stuck in a loop and I can't progress. It's the definition of game breaking. I really really want to enjoy this but the dev doesn't seem to care too much. He immediately did that once he saw a bunch of people saying they were having issues with the game but he didn't have any issues on his version of the game. I praised this dev a lot previously but now I'm extremely disappointed in him. I'm highly considering getting a refund now because of that. I was actually forced to install iOS16, when my device on iOS14 became unable to install or update apps. AppStore, IPA files from device and PC, iTunes; they all failed. Nowadays, I miss a few JB features, though, such as the ability to play some [64-bit] games that had been removed or made incompatible with modern iOS versions, such as Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. Also, when I update iOS now, I check that all my currently installed games can be started, especially the ones that have been removed from purchase history, delisted or not updated in a while, like Captain Cowboy. ste86uk likes this.
