I will take this as a sign...

After a few prompts to bind my account I did so only to have it overwrite my account and lose my data. There goes my level 21 and guild which I was the leader of. Only about a days worth of playing.

Sure I could contact them and I assume they can fix it but am I really enjoying it? Too many more enjoyable games to play.

Note to others... Bind your account right away.

Runic is bought by Perfect World, an big chinese company not long after TL2, i guess we can kiss TL3 goodbye and get ready for all this stuff.

I too found out I was IP banned today, no idea why. I only played the game less than 5 minutes after installing it on my iPad.

    a) is this still soft-launch only?

    b) could that be why people are being banned?

Again, Runic had nothing to do with this game. Perfect World owns the Torchlight IP now, so the news is irrelevant. Whether or not it gets a worldwide release largely depends on how well it does in soft-launch.
