this game is freakin amazing , but one thing the dev should note why not improve the sound effects, give us some sound to match the awsomeness the sound effects are non existent all i can hear is the music.... the sound should pop like the game, look at geometry wars the sound effects are simple but they pop....it would work for this game....sounds for the weapons and sounds of enemies exploding...not much else is needed
@jyaif nice reference to star wars edit: ah damn, you guys probs know what it is as well from globe's replay. anyway, fourth ship unlocked! EDIT: im starting to experience crashing after amalgam mode as well.
ehh. i think the sound effects would be distracting or annoying. i've always hated constant bullet noises and i believe the choice of sound effects (or lack of them) is a thought out choice.
I'll just have to agree to disagree with you on that one...whether it was a conscious choice or not, I just like to hear sound effects assuming they are well-rendered and sound cool.
the dev is active in the forums. i'm sure if a majority want extra sound effects, they'll be added (to my disappointment(unless they own))
One can hope. But I've only seen one other person mention it in here other than myself, so I'm not going to get my hopes up too high.
here's the thing. apple's sound engine sucks. for a game like this you'd have to write your own mixer for it to sound and perform halfway decent. not a big deal, but not many devs know that.
Wait a minute, there are sound effects in PewPew 2 !!! They aren't loud, agreed, but they definitely are there. Just take a bonus in Dodge This to ear one of them. When you hit/destroy a polygon in Megagore, there are sounds too (and depending on their shape/color, they explode with a different sound). Nearly all the enemies have sound when they are hit or when they explode. I did not put a "pewpew" sound because since you are constantly shooting at a very high rate, I think it would not be enjoyable. I guess I really will have to increase their volume. And if you don't like them, you can turn them off. Wait a minute (again), maybe they are disabled by default?
@jyaif i got those and thought they were adequate. maybe add an option to louden em for the others? also, i totally agree on the pewpew noises.
ARG! can you send the crash reports? I have no idea how you are supposed to do that, I only know how to receive them! When does it crash exactly?
Thanks for the great sequel, love the new campaign levels! Id like to say about the sound effects mentioned that there are plenty and they all sound real good, someone must be hard of hearing..but i think, it would be okay to have a low volume kind of subtle sound for the gunfire. Maybe a more soft bassier(?) machinegun spitting sound or something like that. Yeah, that would be good, i wish i could remember where i heard what i am thinking of..so, just suggesting. Cant wait for the new levels!
In order to get the logs from your memory using * Mac OS X : ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/<DEVICE_NAME> * Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter/<DEVICE_NAME> * Windows Vista: C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter/MobileDevice/<DEVICE_NAME> on XP you have to enable hidden folders! Not sure about 7 or Mac OSX!
