got the game up after spending sleepless mornings thinking it over. so far im loving how smooth and (duh) fun everything is. Just wanna suggest increasing the time you are invulnerable after you are hit. It's a combo killer >_< and more...more. anything planned in the future ^_^?
Also, selecting "upload" from the menu causes any previously downloaded replays to get erased. Before the system stopped working, I had been able to view several replays (e.g. those by Jak56, Guise, and several other players) even when offline, but now only my own replays remain; apparently the server zeroed-out the downloaded data. So I don't recommend hitting the upload or refresh buttons in the Infinity mode submenu until such time when the leaderboard/replay system is said to be fixed.
5th? Damn. Haven't played much over the last couple of days, but I'm still struggling to unlock the 3rd. You guys have skills. I'm also still stuck on Expulsors. Still looking forward to the 'music off/effects on' update but have decided I like the difficulty; definitely makes me want to keep playing and getting better.
Not yet, but it'll be mine if I can manage to get about another 500 points in Dodge mode, which will take some luck at my skill level (already the ~8500 was one of my luckier runs). There is no way I'll ever get a gold in Assault, and it'll be quite some time before that could happen in the first Infinity mode either.
I corrected the server, everything should be back to normal. Let me know if something is wrong. I would like to avoid changing the gameplay of the current infinity modes, because this would make the existing replays not work anymore... The campaign on the other hand can (and will) be tuned. In the immediate futur (=by the end of the week), I will: -finish the iPad native version (94% done) -add the option to turn of the music -try to find the source of the bug that makes Amalgam crash for one person -decrease the difficulty of Expulsor a lot After that, it will be time to code more games modes and more campaigns!
Looking forward to rocking out with this game on the iPad soon. Curious, however, this is simply ALLOWING an iPad to play the game and not actual iPad native graphical support, right?
Don't be so sure, the score increases exponentially in Assault (provided you take the multiplying boxes often enough).
Oh no, I am talking about the real deal, native graphical support for free. I'll post a screenshot in a moment. [edit: actually it's 2AM over here, so I guess it will have to wait]
yeah thats right I'm the ONLY one that has that crash - i feel special in a bad way though I'm happy its getting fixed
and meanwhile, im trying to get that last silver medal to no avail. any help here? i'm stuck on chromatic conflict, assault and dodge this. (all on a measly bronze)
On Dodge This, at the beginning, try to get the red boxes as quickly as possible (while still dodging the green enemies of course ) When it gets hard, be patient, and notice that you can get very close to the enemies without dying. On Chromatic Conflict, you can push back the triangular enemies of an other color with your bullets. In fact, you have to push them back, it's vital. When CC becomes harder, you should constantly change color by circling the level. In Assault... I don't really know, once you get into the flow you can get 60k points IIRC And here's some footage of the iPad version:
It's a great game for the price, assuming the player is experienced enough with these types of games to progress through the campaign and unlock the additional modes. That's why people really should try the lite version (or the original Pew Pew) first. Ever since hearing that Pewpew 2 runs on a coworker's iPad, I've decided to hold off on playing it more until the developer fixes the the broken feature that lists the type of device next to each entry on the "scores" section of the game website. I own a 16gb wifi iPad, but currently the app exits after the first red intro screen. Even in the event that reinstalling or freeing memory causes it to run on that device, I'll only play it on the iTouch until universal ipad support is confirmed, and the device types are listed in order to be fair to others. It does runs flawlessly on the 2nd gen itouch, and I'm glad to see the dev updated the app store info after learning that it doesn't run on most iPads.
wow, Globe is good. He currently is #2 on Megagore/Dodge This/Highway, and #1 on Chromatic Conflict and Amalgam
