That's what's coming in this update. In the few, we can expect new campaign missions and game modes, at the very least.
Well, while you're waiting, you might want to go and read all of the horror stories about Apple's app approval/update process...
Apple makes us wait, then rejects the app so we have to wait again... At least we know that more play modes/missions are in the making!
We're much closer now! The game no longer crashes at launch on the iPad and the optimized controls are perfect BUT now it crashes when I try to enter my score (and yes, I rebooted multiple times). Can any other iPadder enter their names?
I am also encountering this. However, it only seems to happen with higher scores. Also, medals are still awarded. It's just that the app crashes when you try to enter or edit the name for a high score. Is this bug on the iPhone/iPod Touch version too? If so, I should only update it on iPad.
I am going to look into the new ipad crash pretty soon, but right now I am working on a new infinity game mode. If I finish it (=if it's fun enough), it's going to be very different from the other game modes. Thanks for changing the topic name BTW ;-) As soon as I submit an update. I plan on doing a mini-update with about 5 new campaign level + the diamond mode. It should be ready in a week or two. It depends on how much work I manage to cram during this weekend. Fortunately for you, Quake Live is not working on my computer anymore, so I should be able to program a lot ;-)
Finally got past Expulsors, thanks to the easing of difficulty. Anyone have any tips for defeating the boss? I assume it can't be damaged when green, only when red. And that angling shots to ricochet off the walls is key.
I didn't have any trouble until this stupid last boss. I enjoy the challenge though, great game overall.
All I did to beat it was circle then quickly circle the other way. When you do that the shield cant keep up with your fast movements and then you can shoot at it for a short time. Note: only shoot then you know you can hit it because every hit the shield takes the boss will throw right back at you. when the boss starts shoots i suggest going on a wall farthest away from it to dodge the bullets.
That's exactly the strategy I used. Try not to move too much when the boss is spewing bullets, since you tend to move into the path of bullets faster than you move out of their path, if that makes sense.
me, i defeated the boss the hard way. i tried to move to strategic places so i could use the walls to my advantage. mainly trial and error, but it's the right way. when he start shooting, try to move as little as possible and dont exagerate movements when dodging (move as little as possible )
Thanks for the tips, y'all. I did finally beat it without too much trouble, though not using jak56's 'real' method. I found that the closer you get to the shield when circling, the easier it is to switch directions and have an open shot at the boss. Still don't think I'll ever unlock that 4th ship...
haha. my 'real way' can also be translated as the dumb way, no matter how much more skill is needed also, im sure you'll get that fourth ship! i'm two golds away from the fifth though...
I'm currently about 200-500 points away from every score I need for the fourth ship. For some reason my thumbs start to get sticky really quickly while playing PewPew 2 so I can't sit down for very long. It's strange, because this is the only game that does that to me, and yet it's my favorite game on my iDevice right now.
