I'll add more: People who praise skrillex as a god People who go on the dance pad next to you when you play itg at an arcade (Most of you probably have no idea what I'm saying) The word FAIL used out of context
People that beat me down for my religion -__- I say it once and I'm not forcing it on someone at all, yet they try to pick a fight with me. I'm pretty okay with the guys at TA because they don't automatically consider me an enemy when I mention it in my posts. People that debate Xbox 360 and PS3. I do it sometimes, but I actually know that there's no point and my opinion isn't the only correct one. Same for Call of Duty vs. Battlefield.
My pet peeve is when someone asks a question when they are by a computer that Google can answer in a second.
When someone speaks fluid English like a pro but still feels the need to say "sorry for my bad English." Sorry smart foreigners. Take it as a compliment
People who leave shopping carts in parking spaces Younger kids playing M-rated games (Especially black ops) Lag Whenever my most anticipated game of the year ends up sucking.
People who constantly ask for a release date! If a game misses it's release then there is incentive to ask about it, but if the game is currently in development then sthu and wait for news!! Sorry..
Peeved when my comment is cut! Minor peeve -- TouchArcade (& some other sites) have cut my comments and did not offer any reason why. Anomaly: Warzone Earth <-- my last comment was on the extra IAP for the game, described as "war expansions", but my comment was about how I wasn't excited that more war locations (incl Baghdad) and many expanded war options were now available...! ie it was an anti-war comment. Clearly an inappropriate comment on a review of a war game. (?) If we can't put anti-war comments on war games, where the heck do they go? rekzkarz.com <-- blog w/lots of anti-war rantz
SF, I agree with that -- you'd think Apple would have the functionality to allow us to BLOCK reviews that don't make the grade, as well as apps that we don't like, and also wishlists & so on... And they could easily enable all kinds of user-friendly functionality (price drop tracking, wish lists, blocking apps, etc) but there is no incentive on the monolith. Anyway, as for the bad quality reviews -- it's sad and ridiculous, and 1000x worse on Youtube when people review videos -- but it's like a (sad) view into the demographics of the USA.
I have some more: Facebook, Twitter and Disqus - I will never sign up for an account with any of these and yet they're increasingly becoming harder to avoid. People who still insist smartphones are not "real gaming platforms". The Microsoft Metro interface - I haven't used Windows in years and I certainly am not going to buy a Windows Phone 7 phone but it's being forced upon XBOX users as well. Why couldn't they not wait until a new generation of hardware? Star Wars Fans - If you encounter a die hard Star Trek, Harry Potter or Twilight fan that wants to talk to you about their favorite fiction franchise and tell them that you don't like it they usually understand. If you tell a die hard Star Wars fan that you aren't into Star Wars they act like you just insulted their religion while punching their mother in the face. The Dave Mathews Band & Pearl Jam - There's very few things I hate more then sitting in a restaurant and being subjected to horrible light alternative bands from the 90's I'd rather forget existed. I don't need that shit rattling around in my brain for the rest of the day. Seriously, I'd rather be forcibly subjected to Aqua or Haddaway while getting stabbed in the hand repeatedly with a fork then ever have to hear Dave Mathews again!
Have to agree with you but I eventually caved a couple of months ago and made a twitter account and that led me into a Disqus account but I still absolutely hate facebook and I hate having it shoved in my face in apps and sites everywhere. I also have a girlfriend who is determined to make me an account there if I don't myself it's almost a useless fight but I'm determined facebook will have no info of mine to sell.
I'm mature, and I'm young! LIEK LOOK AT MA K/D IT LIEK TOTLY SMASHES YUORS11!1!1!1!1!1! Stupid little immature kids on xbox live... They make some of us look bad. D: I hate it when people review apps saying it's not worth it for 99 cents! I mean come on! Young people blaming the elderly for their car crashes even though they are wrong (y'know, just to cover them up so they don't have to pay the money in court).
