I was mostly talking about the presentation and the user interface, which are clearly improved. The Trappped play area was restricted to a tiny portion of the screen, and the style was dark and depressing (for my taste). Perfect Paths is colorful and unintimidating, even if the core game hasn't changed. Regarding the difficulty, I think the author himself has said that Trappped was too hardcore. Perfect Paths has smaller puzzles (7x7 instead of 8x8) and I think it does a very good job of making the intrinsic difficulties of the mechanics more manageable by revealing them one bit at a time. It is still difficult to enter in the correct mindset and adapt to its rules, at least it was for me (I hadn't played Trappped before, so I came to the game with a fresh mind). Most of the puzzles in the initial relase are pretty easy, though, and there is only one that blocked me for a while.
Nicola is really great puzzle solver and if it is easy for him, it still might be quite difficult for others Here is one of the levels which will be available in the update when apple approves it. The difficulty will go up a lot.
You can't leave AppStore reviews or ratings if you've got the game with a code. Apple don't allow it. I love the look if this one, can't wait to play it, I'm enjoying puzzles lately and am almost done with strata then hopefully will start this. I've updated to 7.1 especially #
Loving the game. One of my top 2 favorite games of this year so far and I don't normally like or have patience for puzzle games, yet can't stop playing this. Would it be possible to add cloud saves so our saves carry over to other iOS devices?
I'm really glad you like it! Right now I'm hunting down few bugs and then the cloud support will be the priority
Any chance of a recompile to work with ios 7.X? Shut up and take my money! except... I was about to buy this, but can't because I'm at ios 7.0.something. Any chance of a recompile to have it work with lower ios versions? I'm quite attached to my jailbreak tweaks... Many thanks
While I am really enjoying this game, I don't get the purpose or objective of Tutorial 3. It says that the solutions are pre-defined, but the end-user is the one who manually inputs the directional arrows. Can someone please clarify what this tutorial is trying to teach and how we can use it to our advantage? Thanks in advance.
Say that you have one block resting over an UP arrow, and a second block resting over a DOWN arrow. When you tap the play button, they won't move at the same time: first the first block goes up, then the second block goes down. The order of movement is UP,DOWN,RIGHT,LEFT. This is subtle, but it has very important effects when things get complicated. Say that you have two blocks, one above the other. The top one is over a right arrow, the bottom one is over an up arrow. When you tap play, the first block to move is the bottom one. Therefore it goes up and also pushes up the top block. Then the bottom block, now resting over the right arrow, will go right. Say instead that you have two blocks side by side. The left one has a right arrow, the right one has an up arrow. In this case, when you tap play the right block will be the first to move, so it will go up and move out of the way; then the left block will go right without pushing anything. In the first case, you have set up the two blocks to move on separate paths. In the second case, the two blocks will move on the same path one behind the other.
Alpha Pegasus was indeed the level where I got stuck for some time. After understanding it, it was smooth sailing till the end.
I will try to explain it. Not solutions are pre-defined, but the movement of blocks happen in predefined order. This element in game is necessary because of ambiguity when combined blocks stand on more paths at the same time. Look at picture in attachment. Where should the combined blocks move? Because the order of phases is Up, Down, Right, Left. It will first go up, then down ... You can try to touch and drag the phase indicator in the game to see how the phases are executed.
Man, I am wracking my brain on the third Pegasus puzzle. I believe I am 2/3 of it figured out but can't get the third pair's (green) solution.
