Possible to kill an armored guard Sorry for reviving a zombie thread on my first post. I just wanted to report that it is possible to kill one of the un-killable armored guards, but unfortunately, I didn't take a screen shot and forgot the level. I did it by getting him to step onto an elevator and then I lowered it. After he rode down, I lured him away, raised the elevator, lured him back underneath, and lowered the elevator. This killed him, and I was able to toss his body around. If I can replicate this, I'll take a screen shot and post it. If anyone else has tried this and posted about it, sorry for not noticing.
Ahh, it turns out I did take a few screenshots. It's Level E6, but my recollection of how I went about this is wrong. Unfortunately, after repeatedly trying to replicate it, I failed. The three screenshots below show (not very clearly) the armored guard in the elevator shaft (either falling, or I flung him up there and took a screenshot), and then being flung into the ditch below and to the left of the elevator shaft. Notice the two guards already dead. In the final screenshot, I show my score for the Level. If you play this level through, killing every guard that can be killed, you'll notice you have 4 un-killed humans left in a normal round (the armored guards). This score confirms that I took one of those 4 guards out.
This game deserves a little thread resurrection! Love it! And of course respect for killing an unkillable guard!
Thanks! I've been trying to do it again on-and-off all day. It does have to do with getting the guard to step onto the elevator platform, but you have to beat the platform up to his level and still have enough time to get him on it. It's been a while, but I think he stepped on as soon as it got to his level, in order to shoot up at me while I waited at the top. Once he rides up, he's trapped. I recall thinking he might step off, so I taunted him into a defensive stance (pointing his gun up) and rushed down to the switch to bring the platform down. After that, I really don't recall what I did. He could have fallen through the platform (which will happen to dead guards on some elevators), which would explain how I was prepared to take a screenshot. Either that or I lowered him all the way and managed to go back to the switch, raise the platform, then lower it, and then rush down in front of it and hit him repeatedly so he would back up underneath it (which after today seems very unlikely now, because it's just too difficult to make it from A to B that fast). As someone also mentioned, not all surfaces are impenetrable. One thing I like to do is stack up a bunch of dead guards between a moving cargo container and a wall, which after repeated collisions will push them into the concrete so that only their torso or legs are showing above the surface. Some of them will keep moving along the surface, and they'll sometimes wiggle, which is quite funny. You can also push dead guards into the threshold area of a door and close it. They'll do strange things while they're "split" by the door. I also play around with trying to get as many dead guards in one place as I can. I think I've collected up to 8 at once. If you get too far away from a dead guard and go back, the game has cleared him, so you have to move them in heaps. Haha, I must sound like a sicko mad man! It's just that once I play a game through a few times, I like to mess around with my own "meta-game" and look for bugs or try to force game behavior that I'm sure the devs didn't intend. This one allows a lot of odd behaviors, which is fun.
Here's the guard on the platform in E6. He'll step onto it while it's on its way up if you can position yourself so that he has to move to keep shooting you. But how on Earth I got him underneath the platform, I can't remember.
Success! I finally repeated the armored guard kill in Level E6. I kept raising and lowering the elevator, and although I didn't get up there in time to see it, it appears he must have gotten caught in it after turning around to walk back from the edge of the elevator shaft. The first picture shows this. The next one I captured as he was thrashing around. In the third picture, he apparently shifted to the top surface of the platform as I lowered it, but I didn't see this happen. Then, as I raised the elevator, he dropped through it like all dead guards do. Finally, in the last picture, he has come to rest at the bottom, just behind the right-hand guard. I moved my cell down there to light up the picture, and took a little fire from the left guard. He's hamburger now.
Armored guard steaks Ah, you can chop up an armored guard after he's dead. I didn't try this the first time because I was so used to my cell bouncing off them, I assumed it couldn't be done. So just for fun, I took him to the butcher shop. Thanks for letting me flood the thread with my bragging and pictures.
Great game, trying to get all achievments now. On what map can i do " 5 in a row" Cant find a good spot!
There are two ways to do serial kills - either a dash (knocking them over) or a draw dash (cutting them up). I've only done 5 in a row on the draw dash, on level D8: At the opening level of D8, kill the first guard and lower the elevator. Position your cell so you can see the first two guards up above. Wait until they're both turned away from you. Dash or move quickly to a point midway between them - maybe closer to the 2nd guard. Let yourself go invisible and wait until they're turned away from you again. Power up and draw right just far enough to tap the 1st guard, then left in a straight line through the remaining guards. The reason you position yourself between guards 1 & 2 is that you need a starting point that allows you to scroll all the way to the last guard on the left. If you start too far right, the game won't scroll far enough when you draw left, and you run out of screen before you reach the 5th guard. You might have to try it a few times to not be detected when you get into position, or to vary your position so you can just get make it to guard 5.
The backgrounds, effects and the cell are optimised for the new iPad Retina display, they are also anti aliased (4xMSAA) on most devices. The soldiers were made for the iPhone Retina display. All the elements look beautiful on the iPhone 4S (I hope you'll agree!). Some details in the background appear only on the new iPad, but the soldiers also look more pixelated on this version. And last but not least, the game works perfectly on all devices, even on the very first iPhone (with a little less special effects of course).
Ok, but I have an iPod touch fourth gen and the little computers look pixelly. Thanks for the quick reply though. I know why you won't add more levels. If the cell gets recaptured we'll lose hope that he'll ever be free and stop playing
sorry, the new Macbook Pro Retina didn't exist yet when we made this game, all computers were still pixelated at this time.
I get it. Any plans for a sequel/content update? Btw, I have a good reason why the cell is pinkish. Ever seen http://www.google.ca/imgres?um=1&hl=en&safe=off&client=firefox-a&hs=N4W&sa=N&rls=org.mozilla:en-USfficial&tbm=isch&tbnid=qckBXpq7hn21UM:&imgrefurl=http://www.laser-magic.com/plasma_globe.htm&docid=N5DhB_GiyDXuAM&imgurl=http://www.laser-magic.com/plasma_ball5.jpg&w=432&h=404&ei=Iz4xULi2L6rq6wGKv4CoDg&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=189&sig=105563949451773592319&page=1&tbnh=160&tbnw=201&start=0&ndsp=30&ved=1t:429,r:8,s:0,i:98&tx=66&ty=87&biw=1680&bih=888 <-a plasma globe? It looks like the cell (high energy) but when the cell splits up, the intense power splits up too, dimming the individual cells. Only when in "pink" high energy state can it use slash n' dash (my name for draw dash) and invisibility. Like this idea? Edit: Anyone got any challenges? I got every achievement, plus I killed an armored guard already. Edit 2: Mobigame, could you please add one epic superlevel for getting all the green gems? Edit 3: On Gamecenter best total times I'm number 6 of all time!(TheBeast007) Edit 4: Mobigames can you tell which people on this leaderboard are hackers? I think the top 5. You? I know it is doable to get less than 2 minutes on every level, and less than 1 minute on all As, the first three Bs, and the last 2 Es.
