After reading some of this thread I decided to pick this game up tonight. Looking forward to playing it tomorrow.
Finally done! The last level has some, well, tiny little nasty surprise if you are not careful....Ending is satisfying and leave room for *cough* more... I can only say E7 is the hardest and the late levels are very hard if you aim for no-kill. I really wish for more!
Game Impressions I love 'Edge' by Mobigames and I'm enjoying 'Perfect Cell' too. I recommend both games. I was cruising along on a slaughter run until level C-7. It wasn't until I read this forum that I realised the cell can split in three! Programming the dashes is fun: killing two enemies and landing right on the next switch is satisfying. Or scribbling the dash line across the enemy a few times so they're chopped up. I like the earlier suggestion of splitting in two (or three) & using one cell for distraction. Feedback: - Sometimes holding your finger on the cell takes multiple attempts before switching to line drawing. This happens enough to be annoying. - Would be better if the unkillable soldiers looked less similar to other enemies. Ideas: - More interactable objects. eg: things to dash into the enemy. - Occasional slo-mo for the programmed dashes eg: for multiple kills. - More varied sound effects for soldiers dying or being attacked, so it feels like they want to live. - Ability to sneak up behind an enemy to slime them as a stealth attack. - Would be cool if the cell evolved, by growing longer during the game. Good work Mobigames!
Red1: I think the unkillable, armored soldiers are quite "stand out" already. Bigger heads, and it is in green, the back-stab-ables are in blue and the weakest grunts are brown. I think it is okay to me but well, different people see this differently, of course. You need to wait for the "energy bar" to fully fill up before making a "line drawing". and after one line is drawn, you need to wait for the refill again: if this is what you mean. However, I find on smaller devices like iPod Touch, etc, it is harder to dash in up and down direction. And no, don't give us buttons and/or d-pads. Pretty please! Now, I involuntarily check from time to time if there is anything purple/blue floating behind my back or above me. Or be extra careful when I see purple/blue flashes before me. Kinda trait you get when playing a great game for too long a time...
Thanks Red1. As currymutton explained you have to wait until the energy bar is fully charged and blinking to make this move. To dash you don't have to drag the cell, you can swipe anywhere in the screen so it should not be harder to make a vertical dash.
Hey i already finish all leves but what is the "Bonus no kill" :S how i unlock that achievments??? Thanks and waiting an upadate with more levels
Just finished the game last night. This was a great way to round out the holiday weekend. Great game...highly recommended.
its so f**** hard not to kill anyone after level b4 or so. Oh man is this game frustrating if you try to be mr nice guy.
You get a little dove icon/award for each level you complete without killing anybody, but it's harder if you try not to kill anyone. For my first playthrough I'm killing everyone, and for my next playthrough I won't kill anyone. I think that's probably the best way to play it.
Well, series C is still easy, you need a lot of patience and sometime, use "line draw" mode to expand your view to get the best timing. Wait till you get to series E...
Hmmm...I've been killing everyone and on the hunt for all the prisms. I didn't know about the doves. I will try the game again without killing. This will definitely amp the difficulty to newer heights as many of the later levels have guards viciously protecting a door or keypad.
I can confirm the difficulty definitely ramps up, especially if you're playing stealth; there are more timing puzzles, and they get more complex and tricky, as do the levels in most cases. The last level is pretty easy though -- it's more a token resistance before you escape.
Wow...a whole dollar off...what a sale! Still on the fence with this one...it does look great though! Maybe a lite version will convince me?
I just bought it, hope its worth it. The game looks good I'm just worried about how well the controls are designed.
