icab is the best web browser for the iphone read the iphone web browser roundup http://www.iphonelife.com/blog/87/one-and-only-real-iphone-web-browser-roundup
I've only used the lite version of Mercury Browser, so I'm not sure how much better the paid version is. It isn't all that bad, but I don't like how the bottom icons are always a part of the page even in full screen. It's not a big deal or anything, especially for a buck, but my preference is for there to be no icons in full screen mode, which is what I find in Perfect Browser (ignoring the little arrow on the right side of the screen). Yeah you have at least one more step in PB, as you have to hit the bottom gray area to bring up the icons to to do something, but that's not a big deal at all. I want the complete 3.2 inches devoted to the website with no other icons in my way, which is why I decided to go with PB. Also, I haven't used icab but have read the reviews. It seems pretty cool.
Actually... This app called MemoryInfo has a button in the options that says "Kill all default apps". I'm not going to try this because i like my default apps.
@mystik it doesnt delete them, it closes them example: when you go into your music app it opens it and when you click the home button to exit, it only minimizes the music app. when you click on kill all default apps, it will actually close them properly this is a on purpose design by apple to speed up the iDevices when loading these things, but is bad when people wanna play games. thats why people recommend restarting your phone/ipod before playing a graphically heavy game, so you can free up ram and processing power this also applies to other default apps such as mail, sms, phone, safari (when tabs are opened, if all tabs are closed safari will close properly)
Well I downloaded it and finally got the settings the way I like them. I am fairly impressed with this browser and it is now my go to browser. MUCH better than what Safari offers (can't believe I am writing that). Two features alone seal it for me. Tabbed browsing (cached pages make the tabs instant!) and the quick scroll which is perfect for big pages like blogs and forums. I don't really care for the UI as it reminds me of Internet Explorer with how the icons are all colorful and Windows looking but I can look past that. The only drawback at this point for me is that it doesn't pull bookmarks (if you have synced Safari/Mobile Me bookmarks). So I will still be using Safari for those times I want to use a bookmark but PB3 is now in my dock. Thanks Vende for the heads up.
No, currently Atomic Web Browser is better. Besides tabs, fullscreen browsing, screen orientation lock, ad-blocking, custom search engines, find in page, color themes, private mode, passcode protection, Facebook/Twitter integration and changeable browser identification it displays you the HTML source code of the current tab. You can't find this feature in all the other alternative browsers.
