So long Safari. Using the full screen of the iphone for internet is far better than the more limited Safari interface. Plus the wifi feels a little faster.
Can you lock the screen rotation? I want a web browser app that lets me lock the screen so that I can use it in landscape while lying down. The dumb auto-rotate of safari switches it back round to portrait. If it doesn't have this feature, does anyone know an app that does?
Yes it is. I bought this a while back and i must say, Safari is never coming back on my iPod. Is there a way to remove Safari
By limited can you expand on that? So you can lock in landscape mode, what else does it offer that far outweighs other third party browsers and Safari?
i would advise looking a bit further back here in apps for memesys's browser round up that covers most things
The fullscreen feature makes using the internet a practically new experience. Wifi is a little faster. Edge seems a tad faster, especially for already mobilized websites (like reuters, nytimes). Hyper scroll is a neat option. It's not really for me, but still cool to use. Locking feature is helpful. Web compression is a very helpful feature - beats having to go to google.com/gct My only complaint is the URL is a little ficky sometimes. Otherwise, this is a VERY well rounded alternative to safari
Yeah, it's great. I'm using it right now. The only thing I don't like is the icon, but that is no longer a problem because I replaced it with the safari icon
Does spell check for any of you when you search from google or the google bar? It doesn't work me.. That's the only complaint I have, Safari is gone
No spell check unfortunately. There are some other cons, well, more like quibbles, with Perfect Browser. As I said earlier, typing url's can be kind of funky and sometimes the url of the website you're presently on deletes what you're typing as you're trying to go to a new site. The hyperscroll is really cool, but it needs to be bigger and more transparent...practically invisible would be ideal. I want to barely be able to see it, yet still enough room for my thumb to comfortably utilize it. It's a pain in the ass to have to start with your home screen every time you exit. I'd like to start off right where I left off. It seems to take a few extra second to run the homepage when you start the app than when compared to running safari. Once you get going, everything is fine, but there is a slight delay at the beginning, even with mobilized websites. As long as I'm nit picking, when you hit the + icon, that list of sublinks - add bookmarks, open page in safari, set as homepage, etc- comes up kind of jittery. It's just not very smooth. To turn on and off web compression, you have to go through a few steps. I'd rather this particular setting be accessible in the bottom instead of that little downward arrow. This is an important feature, but it's kind of lost in settings. All that aside, and nothing here is even close to a deal breaker, PB is my new internet app:). The full screen abilities and locking function make the app worth at least 3 bucks, and the web compression and somewhat improved speeds are just icing on the cake.
Can you give me some reasons why perfect browser is better than safari? imagine you are trying to put someone who uses safari onto perfect browser. Cheers in advance.
