Devil's Advocate- So you can't think of one political representative, that you think has a better strategy? I'm a Ron Paul guy, personally. And I know why I'm a Ron Paul guy. Knowing WHY you believe, is as important as the ideal proposed. I've noticed many who hop on board the bandwagon without knowing why. How many people pissed about healthcare, have actually read the bill? Again, I'm not an Obama guy, and I do disagree with a lot of policies he's inacting, but instead of hate, how about a solution.

Yeah, it's hard to find a politician who will make a choice based on their principles anymore. They're too busy worrying about getting re-elected or bowing to the special interests who fund their campaigns. I'm with you, even if I don't necessarily agree with what a politician is doing, I'd respect someone who says what they mean, and means what they say. It seems like a basic concept, but it's getting increasingly difficult to find.

Agreed! It's the joy of bureaucracy! "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours". The system really isn't broken. If the representatives actually DID what they were supposed to be doing. If each politician actually acted on behalf of the majority of constituents in their municipalities, and actually acted on Vox populi, then it would indeed be a wonderful system. The one variable that screws everything up, is us. The human being. The best thing anyone can do for their country is get up and PARTICIPATE! Get active. Be a part of the solution. Your voice isn't heard on internet forums peeps... Anyway end of rant..:)

True that. Whenever anyone complains about politics, I always ask them if they are an active voter. If they aren't (as long as they are of age) I don't feel they have the right to complain.

Not to argue for the sake of arguing, but you are against a health care plan in principle, but talk about government cheese? We are the only developed nation without universal healthcare...people were calling social security and medicare Socialism when they were proposed too.

I understand the analogy...just wasn't clear what you meant. Social Security and Medicare would work fine if they were protected. You say you want someone to speak for the people? Ask the American public if they want to get rid of Social Security or Medicare. Expect no's in the 90th percentile.

I somewhat agree. I feel the "new deal" offerings may have set us up for failure. While I also agree with sizzla, as right now the best thing we can ask for is balance. Its a complicated system. One large problem I see is the average voter isn't exactly well educated on the matters of economics and foreign relations. As much of a proponent of personal responsibility as I am, I still feel that those who are ignorant, are powerless in this system. Their lack of knowledge, is what keeps capitalism from working. This says a lot, when I consider myself a libertarian on the verge of subscribing to total anarchism.

EDIT: ON TOPIC- I'm content with just nickelback being killed today....I can't speak for tomorrow, but my bloodlust would definitely be sated for the rest of the day.

Holy crap, that was irritating to watch. They both need to die and stop what they're doing. She's an opinionated idiot and he argues like a child.

I was definitely reminded why I hate those shows.

I actually like the comedian who does it somewhat (Jim Breuer), but whoever is responsible for those new Pizza Hut "Jackpot" commercials needs to die a slow, painful, death.
