Well, there're about 5 levels with 8 characters, and the final stage with 5 more levels. I thiiink it's a port, but get a second opinion. I don't think the precision wheel is in the iphone version. I'll look at a few youtube vids and check back with you later.
Yep, the game is an exact port except for the very sadly missing background music. I don't even like to play it that much as a result - the game is really hurt by the lack of background music as this game is 50% gameplay and 50% style. They are equally important for the game and the missing music really hurts it. They've been saying that an update is coming that adds the music, but I've got other games that have promised updates that have never come, and I'm starting to lose hope. I'm starting to wonder if they're going to "fix" this flaw instead in a Peggle Nights port, and leave Peggle as-is. It will be great to have Peggle Nights, but sad not to have an update for Peggle. Hopefully we'll get the update, though.
Anybody manage to beat all the challenges? I can't unlock some of them which is really annoying. It says "Beat two random levels in a row" to unlock something. What does that mean?
I'm just about to the point of giving up on an update. What in the world could be taking so long to add the music in? Their goal of making the game installable from 3G wasn't even fulfilled with the original/current release, so why not just put the music in there and release it as a larger file without worrying about file size? It was already too big. They could then go back, if they want, and try to get it small enough for 3G downloads, and release that as a new update. Oh well.
Calm down, Bejeweled 2 also got more music in an update, Peggle will do as well Maybe they have some sound probles with framerate, many games after firmware update to 3.0 had frame rate probs, maybe the reason at peggle is a bit more complicated to stabilize the framerate
There is nothing to unlock... the challenge is to beat two random levels in a row... and then on to 3, 4, 5, and 6 levels in a row, all on your first try, sequentially. All of the challenges (40 by my count) are unlocked after you beat the adventure mode. I've beat 9... its an addicting game... but these challenges are frickin tough.
I wouldn't bet on an up-date at all. Bookworm got 'zero' up-dates, despite having serious lag issues in timed mode and an unresponsive 'shake to shuffle'. If anything needs an up-date first, it's Bookworm...
Yes, it's less successful than Peggle perhaps, but still a very popular game that many have shelled out good money for.
Well, there you go, so much for my theory I guess I am living in naive Neverland that I might get my Bookworm up-date...
Random levels as in challenges? I've beaten 15 challenges but none in a row. I guess I'm going to have to beat them again to unlock.
