iPad Peggle by PopCap (1.5 Peggle Nights IAP and Retina)

They haven't really given an exact release (I don't think), but seeing how Apple takes its sweet time to review apps it probably won't see the light of day for a while.

And yeah, the music is different from those. Much more relaxing, I'd say.

 

I read that some people feel like its running slower than the pc version on like 15 fps. Do you feel that too? Read that on some reviews on the appstore.

 

I picked the game up yesterday. I already played the XBLA-Version, which probably has with the PC-Version the best and smoothest graphics, and the graphics of the iPhone-Version are fine! That doesn't mean they are perfect, but I didn't see any kind of compression artifacts and the frame rate is pretty good during play. Gameplay feels fluid, the "Extreme Fever Mode" is pretty laggy though but that isn't a big problem since the game already ended at this point.

If you played any version, or just like the looks and the idea of it, go and buy it! Trust me, you won't regret it!

 

Yes I want to buy it but I wanted to know if it is laggy or something. Hope they can improve on the minor issues.

Im on a Ipod Touch 2nd Gen and first time you play you find that its not perfectly fluid compared to pc version, but you get used of it so now for me its fluid... no lags.. and updates should arrives soon to fix some little things

 

Do you have infos about the update? I only saw they want to add music back in. Would love some extra content or improvements so it runs more fluid.

Anyway, Ill pick it up now. I love peggle.

 

Yeah, the music seems to be the only thing that's being added. They should throw some tweaks in there though.

 

It's not like "only the music" is not cool enough, but I would love it to run even better!

 

i finally decided to buy Peggle after trying the Mac version. man, icon REALLY sucks.

And I can't understand why people pirate this game. It's so nice, you could really spare those few bucks.



I actually can't understand why people pirate any app store games. If they really like it. Why not buy it? The games there are not expensive.

Hope peggle does well, I would love to see more popcap stuff!

 

This is really a fun game, one of the best in the entire app store.

 

i don't know why but it looks a bit... amateur

the same reason why they are pirating movies, or music - cause they think no-one watches them. it's the same like steeling from shop. i wonder how many people who download pirated stuff steals in shops... not much i guess.

But movies are more expensive than this. I mean stealing 99 cents stuff is pretty weak.

I think he means that the icon really sucks. I don't agree with it (I think the icon is decent even though I usually dislike when icons aren't the uniform shape)... but I think it's pretty clear that's what he means.

so what? you can steal movies cause they cost 10 bucks? nfs costs 10 bucks. some of movies are priced 6$ in amazon. you can download a song for 99 cents too.

prices are not the issue here, stupidity is.

oh, and game is really fun...

 

I meant that the price argument ( "I dont have money for this") is even more invalid here because even 1 dollar apps get pirated to no end. It's kind of sickening.

 

I also think the icon sucks, but my iDevice is jailbroken so I can fix that, the icon just does not match with the other icons

 

Basically pirates want to test it before they buy it, but they end up "testing it" for a long period of time
