No, it's not. Populous was a god game (BTW Populous 1 would be perfect for the iPhone), but Pocket God is a pointless entertainment app. It's like playing with dolls.

Well, like I stated, I haven't tested it yet so I'm only going by screens and off hand descriptions. Sounded like it might've been a Black & White style god game. Regardless it is listed as an entertainment app in the store, so...it's not a game either.

It's in the game section because the app is sold under the game section on the app store. Also, Peep Show is, by pure definition, a game. "anything resembling a game, as in requiring skill, endurance, or adherence to rules:" Peep Show requires skill to reveal the pics. Players must shake the phone when the quarter is over the slot to slowly reveal the pic. If player's fail, the shudders go back down (penalty). Thanks! BL
It's not a game. It's an entertainment app. Nice try though. The how to "play" (yes, I noticed the quotation marks around play) in the app description shows that you know this yourself. Again, nice try.
Why all the hostility? We're providing a service for fans of beautiful women. If you don't wish to partake in this service you don't have to. No one is forcing you to buy anything.
I almost thought you were saying Populous HAD been announced for the ipod touch/iphone lol! I WISH it were really coming to the idevice!! Someone out there please make this happen! I do like PG though and Dave's updates are really coming along great.
When I saw this app, I threw up in my mouth a little. I will call this app: Failure pile in a sadness bowl. It's also 100% certified Krapp!
I doubt this will happen, because Populous 1 was never ported to newer systems. Populous 3 is available for the PSP, but this is a completely different game without the original Populous spirit. Maybe someone could pick up the dead FreePop project (http://freepop.sourceforge.net/) and turn it into an iPhone game. Hello, any devs out there? Edit: Okay, I was wrong. There is a Populous 1&2 kind of game for the DS, called Populous DS. So hopefully this will be ported to the iPhone.
I'm so tempted. My Hall of FAIL has been getting lonely. But it would be a tough one to justify to the wife, so it's not worth the aggravation.
