PDAmill makes Windows PC and mobile games and had tried to port some games for Palm too. They gave up Palm due several incompatibilities between devices models, that mostly had a special Palm OS version.

I remember PDAmill delivered some good looking games for Palm (I still have most of them).

Now PDAmill released the following titles for iPhone and iPOD Touch:

    GameBox Sudoku - $0.99
    GameBox Solitaire - $0.99
    GameBox Solitaire II - $0.99
    GameBox Classics - $0.99
    Bowling for Burgers - $2.99
    Melonchi Minecarts - $0.99
    Glyphos: Visual Puzzles - $0.99
    The Corsair - $2.99

    10-12Dec2008:
    GameBox Asia - $0.99
    Fun Factory - $0.99
    GameBox Gems - $0.99

    20Dec2008:
Arvale: Journey Of Illusion - $2.99 - this game has its own topic that also includes a nice review by istopmotion.

And more games to come, including my favorite one GameBox Asia (thanks tomy8614!).

By the way, I didn't purchase any of the titles yet.

And here's the PDAmill newsletter I've just got:

I hope they release snails for the iPhone. Are there actually any worms clones available yet?

I don't believe there are. Snails would be AWESOME in the app store.

I agree. It'd be a nice addition but unfortunately Snails game is not listed yet.

I've just played GameBox Asia and it's just awesome!

    Here are the game description:

For $0.99 it is a steal. A lot of content and 3 games in one (including Mahjong of course).

5/5 - Get it if you like the genre!! :)

    Thanks. :)

I wish PDAMill put in the description wether or not the layout editor is also in the iPhone version, but even without that I think there should be enough layouts for the $0,99 pricetag. :)

    Two quick questions:

    - How is this game on the battery? I am trying to avoid games which drain the battery super-fast

    - What is the game title as it appears on the icon on your app screen? I am a bit OCD about games with super-long titles :)

    - I have no precise idea, sorry. But I didn't notice anything wrong after my 20 min play.

    - It's just Asia

Thanks! I'm home sick today (strep throat, yuck!) and looking for some new toys. These are a great price!

I've spent the last day playing Arvale. It's been heaps of fun and the humour has been great. Every now and then the game includes a plug for some of their other games. A few have been mentioned by other posters. When I was in the Melonchi Mines, one of the dwarves told me about a great idea he had for a game. So I've now purchased Melonchi Minecarts and will give that one a go. I'm really hoping that they do iPhone versions of their other 2 Arvale games.
