Latest update is out but I can't see the special edition dice that were in the article pics, anyone know how to get them?
Game seems to stop / get stuck when I get to the boots in the tutorial so can't get any further. Unless I'm missing something?
Great update. Just started playing this last week and this game is amazing. Hang in there iPhone people. I used to be in your boat and I know it's tough. Honestly though, if there's any way you can afford it I'd invest in an ipad. I used to think that playing a game on my iPhone would be just as good as on an ipad. I was way wrong. Playing on an ipad really changed the way I look at mobile gaming.
Questions for those who have played a bunch (I have played the physical game many times but this was my first-ish time with the iPad version). Are each of the story quests a random assortment of each type of cards just like in the physical game, or is it the same each time? Each time I've played there has been an unbeatable monster that ended up causing me to fail (can only be beaten with magic-trait attack, which neither starter have). Is there an armor bug? Every time I took combat damage with both characters I was not allowed to recharge or discard my armor to reduce damage. For instance, when taking 2 damage, it let me discard an armor that prevents 2 damage when discarding, but it counted that as 1 of my damage points, and I still had to discard another.
The monsters should be random except for the villain and henchmen. Be sure to pay attention to the damage type being dealt. Some damage can't be reduced at all or it could be something other than combat damage. Many armors can't reduce fire, plain damage, mental damage, etc. Others require you to bury the card for that effect instead of simply discarding.
Hmm. It was the first scenario, combat damage (got punched by a Goblin) and I had leather armor. Should've been fine. I'll play it again later and see if there's something else going on. But it was every time I took damage until my death, not just a single instance. I can't imagine there were that many unavoidable damage situations in the very first fight against simple monsters.
I think the armors are working right for the expected use. Now that I think, discarding is not how you use armor, you have to recharge, reveal, bury or banish depending the card, but discarding is like taking damage with any card armor or not If the game didn't let you recharge or bury the armor then something happens
