Whoa...not enough synonyms for brutal...although I'm happy someone can confirm chars can get to level 20, was a little worried about the cap. Just haven't played past the goblin adventure yet, I'm waiting a bit longer once I found out all the adventures aren't ready lol. Although, this point raises more concerns about the fact that there're 6 adventures...and I kinda don't want a level 60 hero in a D&D style game with D&D style perks and leveling....
Correct me if I'm wrong but I though gold was tied to gamecenter or more accurately the game centre bug which is out of their hands. Maybe? Unless the patch notes say they fixed it (can't check right now)
While based on D&D, I don't think the character levels in Quest are in any way equivalent to character levels in D&D.
I appreciate the clarification, I could see where it might confuse people that don't know the history behind these two products and could think I was talking about a standard XP system. From what I've seen on this thread, people are still more concerned with understanding the rules of the game and how the cards interact with each other, basic mechanics, instead of splitting hairs about experience system nomenclature. No harm no foul, but not really sure why it matters. I would totally be interested in the "so what", respectfully, as an old prof used to say, instead of just the part where you disagree with my word choice. For instance, what makes the quest mode experience levels different from D&D, is there a "level" cap, can one character get enough points to have EVERY skill, or feat, or whatever you want to call them, of course within the limitations of picking one role. That would totally be more helpful to me and everybody else who's reading this, rather than pointing out the obvious fact that they're not the same, you know what I mean lol?
In quest mode look at the character select screen. To the top-right is the Completion tab which shows the effect of each level, generally a single card or feat. While the levels with feats can be significant, most others add little to the power of a character. The same tab shows the maximum level (40 as of the newest patch).
Massively helpful, genuinely appreciated. I had no clue the completion tab works like that in quest mode, that actually answers all my questions in one lol. A more intrepid forum poster than myself should post a pic of that along with your post, I can never get my iPad to post pictures in the TA app. I'll definitely boot up my PC tomorrow and see if I can remember to post a pic, that always seems to work.
ThirdMoon...Thank you! I totally agree. This guy's three sentences alone helped me tremendously, more than the past 3-5 forum pages lol. I had never played this game before the wonderful digital iteration, but I am abso--friggin-lutely LOVING this game. It is by far the most played mobile game on my IPAD currently second..very close second..is my staple game which is Terra Battle (which you should check out if you haven't..mistwalker is Brilliant!) I play a lot of the 40k games off and on here and there, might n magic, Templar battleforce is really good too, but none of those games keep me GLUED for hours..literally..hours..like Pathfinder and Terra. Pathfinder is the only game since Terra Battle was released (forever ago..years maybe) that I can spend that kinda time and energy on non-stop and not get sick of it. I don't completely understand why everyone is having such problems with the mechanics either. I played the Tutorial once, and lost maybe the first 2-3 games I played learning the game and I have now completed almost all the first missions on Legendary and pretty close to done with the second adventure about the start completing its heroic and legendary. I will say this: for some reason Quest mode just seems to be set on a higher difficulty setting in general than story mode..even when you play the beginner setting in story, But I did rack up enough money from story and quest mode to outright buy the third adventure without spending actual cash. Going to try to get another 4k and get the new one too. God..I really am enjoying this..im playing it more than DOOM even. If anyone is struggling with game mechanics and you have questions, I would be happy to help explain. I probably won't check this forum daily, but I do visit TA multiple times a day and will check my Private Messages..so don't hesitate. I admit after playing and losing the first time I did feel intimidated, but once you get the hang of the system...man..its a blast. KUDOS Obsidian and Paizo! Great product. Sid
Fortress of the Stone Giants Just FYI, I just noticed that the Fortress of the Stone Giants expansion now says "coming June." They really do seem to be on a 1-2 adventure release per month plan. If they keep going at this rate everything will be available by August. I am wondering if after the last adventure is released..is there any more to the game? Do they plan to release more adventures later or some kind of sequel? Sid
I've been experiencing a bug since the last update; while in the store and looking at characters when I click on their powers there is no description. Once I have the character and the I can view description. Kinda sucks when trying to pick who to try next. Any one else experiencing this?
Rise of the Runelords (made up of these six adventures) is the first set of the Pathfinder Adventures Card Game. After that is Skull and Shackles, then Wrath of the Righteous, with Mummy's Mask hitting the physical world later this year. If you look at the store page in the app, the Specials tab has only the Rise of the Runelords bundle listed. It's likely that the other sets will turn up there as development continues (and if the folks at Obsidian make enough money).
So you mean a bit like this? It's also not great that it just says "character name" EDIT: sorry photo isn't exactly proof because it doesn't scroll down enough, but yes if I press on powers, then I see no description.
In story mode can you change to thief or acrobat etc? I notice it there on my character sheets but when I switch it I can see the changes it makes in a character , but it doesn't stay that way. Or is it for quest mode only? Thanks for any help!
Once you've finished the entire Hook Mountain Massacre adventure with a character, you're able to choose a role for them.
Exactly, this is a problem. I'm trying to pick which character to unlock next and not being able to see their powers is rough
The bugs are still killing a lot of the fun for me. Examples: - at the location Sandpiint Cathedral, when permanently closing you can attempt to recharge a blessing from the discard pile (and I really needed the card for health!) - well the discard pile opened but I couldn't recharge the cards and the blessing cards just disappeared as I was pressing them. Tried to quit and also kill the app, now the discard pile won't even open so I have to forfeit the game. I'm using an iPad Pro 9.7 on iOS 9.3.1. - (this might not be a bug?) the soldier ally card says add 1d4 to your melee combat check and my d8 die is replaced by two d4 dice for Kyra. These are just examples, the first for sure a bug and I've had a lot of these when dealing with peeking into the location pile as well.
Anyone else having troubles with the store since the update? I'm logged into GameCenter but my gold is at zero and my daily gold subscription is not registering. A 'restore' says it's succesful, but it doesn't restore the daily gold. I do have access to the adventures and heroes I already purchased.
After I installed the update, my daily gold was wiped out and I am not able to restore it. I have sent an email to support. Also, when I play and defeat monsters, I am not being awarded any gold..The game worked perfectly for me up to this point. Edited: StratAll I just saw your post...bummer here too.
