Interesting. Could be to do with the iOS version and corresponding jailbreak I guess. My iPad is running 8.3 using TaiG untether. I'm guessing your 6+ will be on an early 9.0.x build as >9.1 isn't jailbroken yet iirc? I missed the signings for early 9.0.x releases on my iPad and by the time I looked in to upgrading, it was too late - would have been 9.1.x and therefore un-jailbreakable. Fingers crossed 9.2/9.3 JB is released soon, would like to resolve the GC bug on my 6S but don't want to lose the functionality JBing has given me. Edit: Also noticed if I reboot the iPad back in to JB mode, the previous character unlocks are now accessible and I can continue to progress with the game. Any cards I've picked up along the way/unlocked are also available without needing to reboot back to no-substrate mode. All a bit weird - will be interested to see if further character unlocks now work without having to revert back and forth again.
Legendary is supposed to be farmable; only normal and heroic difficulties were meant to be one-time rewards, according to the developers.
According to their official forum, an update was submitted yesterday. Hoping they flipped the universal switch. - Quest Mode - Now with more "working!" We found an issue where Blessings were misappropriated depending on party size and would make it unplayable IF it didn't outright crash. - Duplicate Party Members - Pushing out experienced party members and causing a possible progression block. The Dopplegangers have been smote. Anybody who had a crashed screen will be resolved. - Daily Gold - Counter should be working properly. More importantly, you can actually collect gold. This didn't affect everybody but it was very annoying to those it did affect. In the near future: We are moving the collection of gold to be on the opening screen in addition to the store's main screen. Since it wasn't delivered on logging into the game and needed to be tapped-on, there was some unintuitiveness. - Gold Exploit - There was a way to generate a lot of money by taking some highly geared individuals into some low level scenarios and constantly get a one time reward. Making it not very one-time.
Finally, at long last ... Victory! After a number of fails, I completed the first scenario! For you veterans, I'm sure my joy is laughable, but for those like me, new to the game and struggling with its concepts, this is reason to celebrate. While I'm no expert, for those struggling, especially with running out of turns: don't hesitate separating your heros, aligning each char to an areas closing skill check. Keeping chars together does have benefit, however expedience takes priority. Perhaps the tutorial made this clear and I just missed it. As it's making more sense, it's becoming more appealing.
Well done - I'm by no means a veteran having never played the physical game and only just getting my head around the mechanics yesterday (see my earlier post!) and I'm not saying this to rub it in or to blow my own trumpet but.... I have to say, so far, I've breezed through the first 2 scenarios (bosses?) without a hitch and I'm eager to up the difficulty for another run. One thing I did do from the very start was customise my cards for the Rogue & Cleric (only a couple of tweaks - Rogue dumped mace(?) and replaced with light crossbow for d8 instead of d6 damage, changed her armour for wood shield and swapped out an item or two...cleric lost the repair/mechanic spell I think and replaced with magic shield instead...there may have been a couple of others and not everything played to their strengths as far as rolling checks went iirc) and it definitely made a difference in a few places. Combat was more effective for the Rogue and I used the Clerics healing spell & skill to help support the Rogue when she was low on health. Also I read through the location descriptions and tried to play characters to their strengths - sending Rogue where there were more barriers/items etc to make use of her dexterity checks and cleric for undead or where there are more more enemy cards to encounter. They only really ever teamed up after all other locations were closed. Don't be afraid to utilise the Rogues evade skill either - it may only be putting off the fight until later but you may be in a better position to face off against it later rather than immediately. Or you may clear another area and bring your other party member(s) over to assist your weaker combat characters. I also, tried to use the options to explore further without drawing a blessing card where I could (ie discard a card to explore further etc) - gives you more breathing space to get through without running out of time. I only came close to running out once and I still had 4 blessings left on the timer at that point. TL;DR: My point is, if you read the location descriptions carefully, read through your cards, being as selective as possible and tailoring choices to the specifics of the scenarios, and trying to play characters to their strengths, supporting each other where possible, then it can make a huge difference. The other point I'm trying to make is - I can't believe how much depth and strategy I've discovered with only 2 characters, through 2 scenarios in less than 24 hours. This game is awesome and I've only just begun to scratch the surface - can't believe I came so close to passing this one by after struggling to click with it on my first play. I even deleted it after that first time, so glad I went back for a second opinion and so glad I watched the video linked to earlier as that really convinced me to give it a second shot. Loving it and definitely purchasing the full unlock. #
I had two of each character face and it was screwing up so I deleted and restarted and now I have same gold but all the scenarios are gone have to start fresh again
I have the same problem. In quest mode I have only the first two playable characters and their faces are duplicate in all other slots. When I'm going to start a quest of any difficulty the game freezes on the black loading screen with "fireball-missile thing" and the goblin. Neither once it has been started... I will wait for the patch and if it will not be corrected, I will have to delete the game and restart all over again... :-(
The patch is now live for both platforms and fixes a bunch of things, most notably Quest Mode. Edit: The patch was having issues, but should be working now as a result of server-side fixes.
Have unfortunately read problems with the update. Something about the app still thinking it needs an update and notifies you of this which basicslly disconnects you from the server. ******* thing is, same effect if you stay none updated; the server won't support your progress. Hope others are having better results. Edit: hmmm I just updated manually. By that I: closed the app on my device and killed from the task bar but did not delete. I then downloaded the update in iTunes. I then shifted that across to my device and used jailbreak app installer to install it over the top.. All of this because I'm playing on jailbroken iph6+ ....and so far so good. Not getting any problem server notifications. I had tried to open the app just before updating and I did in fact get notifications that I needed to updated and if I didn't then I was unsupported by the server (in those rough terms), but so far, no more of that. Hope everyone has success in contrast to a few reports I've seen on the obsidian forum. Edit No 2. Ok forget all that, apparently the devs changed something server side and its now working for everyone, lol.
Don't know whether the dev answered this or not. But please make an iphone version...Will there be? I like the UI and art of this... I want to play... However my iPad belongs to my wife but she forbids me from downloading this Please add an iphone version so I can have it on my phone
Not sure why they don't just hit the universal flag and make all of us happy. They allow this on android it works on both phone and tablet why not be consistent.
lol yes... maybe if it's on iphone then the cards will be not readable on older phones like iphone 4S? Hope they come with a fix soon
With the update the Quest is seems working fine! So, Apple was quick with the approval etc. Maybe faster than Google..
After updating to the latest version I am still not getting the daily gold. Thinking of buying the package but not, sure if I should spend money on a buggy app.
Updated with no problem at all and everything working as per normal, though everything was running smoothly for me pre patch (iPad Air 2) Questing away quite happily, thanks you Devs.
Just beat brigandoom!! Lol, I know that's sad I'm so late, but it was *only* my 5th attempt, and the first few were just learning ropes. A key part of my winning though was the fact that after only 4 turns I had already closed two locations, so the blessings deck wasn't an issue like it was in previous runs. Though even after that I did have a few concerning moments. So luck is obviously a part of this game, but it weighs far more into how you manage the luck rather than the drop of the dice every single time like many other dice rolling games. When to go all out and when to fold is important here. Next on to the poison pill so I can finally unlock quest mode and see what that's about. Btw, played using the starter two characters only. Am really starting to understand their strengths, and looking forward to playing some more.
One request for the developers Please devs when you will sometime release it for iPhone too and the game will be universal, add please the option so that someone can play locally with iphone and the other player with the ipad in the same game. This has been done in "Ticket to Ride" and it's very good!! Pass and play at its finest. No waiting and both players it's like playing the same board but in different devices.
