The leaderboard score is a tally of the cumulative vegetables you have eaten and not a reflection of the stars you achieve after playing a level. Sorry if that wasn't clear! Really happy to hear you're all enjoying the game saosijs Well-Known Member Mar 24, 2012 1,483 2 38 Brazil #8 saosijs, Mar 21, 2015 Thanks for responding! So why not rename it to "Total veggies eaten, ever" or better, clearer yet, transform it into "Total time played" because that is what it is about basically "time waisted on the game" Not really an interesting competition, but OK So can I suggest more interesting leaderboards? First a straightforward progression leaderboard, which could be simple level progression. And real leaderboards for competition, a total veggies collected (counting them once!), and a shortest path leaderboard: the more efficient you are in collecting the veggies, the more points (with severe penalty for leaving veggies behind) ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. Getting 3 stars is the "best" solution available. Better than that, you cannot get according to the game See my previous comments. If the game would implement a real scoring system, then there are 2 IAPs that potentially make it a pay-to-win game, depending on how the dev would implement the score formula: - Unlock "Down the Rabbit Hole" - Unlock "Through the Wire" partlysean New Member Mar 21, 2015 2 0 0 Designer http://www.partlysean.com #12 partlysean, Mar 21, 2015 Last edited: Mar 22, 2015 "Time Waisted on the Game" is one way to look at it, haha. In Game Center's leaderboards, next to the score you can see a veggies eaten label. Unfortunately, the text in this label is about as much as we can do in Apple's interface here. Thanks! This is Little Details' first game, yes. A couple of us that brought you Patchmania previously did a cool travel app called Just Landed. Our In-App Purchases are for buying things like additional hints to help with trickier levels, additional packs of 75 levels (325 come with the game), and an auto-refill for when you run out of lives and may be a bit impatient. Patchmania is certainly not pay-to-win. We tried really hard to be as tactful as possible with our IAPs and I think we did a good job. You can progress through the game's story (5 level packs) without paywall roadblocks or similar nonsense. You're absolutely right. If the leaderboard was tallied by levels completed, those who pay for additional level packs would get an un-fair advantage over other players. Thanks for the feedback, all! The puzzles are great, the movement is smooth, the graphics are charming. And bunnies! I cannot resist bunnies. I'm having a lot of fun. So much fun that I purchased the IAP to unlock all the levels almost immediately. saosijs Well-Known Member Mar 24, 2012 1,483 2 38 Brazil #14 saosijs, Mar 22, 2015 I think I am bad at explaining this, so let me try again. The game does not have a real leaderboard. A real leaderboard is about an interesting and fair competition. "veggies eaten, ever" (time waisted on the game) is not an interesting metric for a competition. Let me suggest again to partlysean, to implement a "shortest path" leaderboard (based on "number of squares hopped over", if you will). It is an interesting competition because it requires thinking and planning how to eat all the veggies in a level using as little hops as possible. The score calculation should be made fair, by not allowing any IAP to give advantages. Score calculation should penalize solutions based on IAP unlocked short cuts in such a way that it is not possible to buy your way up the leaderboard(s). And it is always nice to see leaderboards per world, next to a game "Total" one. A game can have more than one leaderboard, so next to "shortest path", a good old simple progression leaderboard is welcome too. @partlysean, what do you think about adding these leaderboards? saosijs Well-Known Member Mar 24, 2012 1,483 2 38 Brazil #15 saosijs, Mar 22, 2015 These are the IAP's as they show in iTunes.
