Thank you very much. To be honest, I had a lousy start. I even won't name the number, that's how lousy it went. Despite really good press. AppAdvice AND AppRumors gave Partyrs 4.5/5 Stars! Partyrs is featured in Canada, for all I know. But other than that, nowhere. Maybe it's because I just released on the 10th. Maybe it's too soon. I really hope for next week! But I'm more than happy with Partyrs. I'm very proud of it, as the first game I developed alone. Starting with minimal programming knowledge (I knew how to state an if-statement). I've learned so much. And all the reactions are positive =) Thanks again!
You definitely have a game you should be proud of. I'm a little surprised that Pocket Gamer hasn't put out a review to be honest, given they covered the game quite a bit before release. Also, I've been in contact with a friend/developer over the last couple of weeks and we've been discussing how odd the App Store's been for a while with terrible visibility for really good games in Best New Games (take for example Goblin Sword and Phantom Rift this week), which are practically unseen until you start scrolling all over the place. Oh...and pretty shitty editorial choices. I don't know whats up with that. :/
Starting tomorrow Partyrs will be on a 50% Sale for a couple of days! Cheap 0.99$! Tell your friends! Tell your postman! Tell everyone! AHHHHHHH
Almost missed this, love this style of graphics lately and from what everyone has said it sounds like a lot of fun I'll be picking up over the weekend.
Hopefully for $.99 more people will give it a try. For a first timer game dev I applaud the quality your efforts and appreciate that you could have just made another Flappy Bird clone but instead did something special I'll continue my usual hounding of the review sites till they all acknowledge this hidden gem of a game
US App Store has NO reviews/ratings of Partyrs. I'm really not sure what to think of Partyrs - but dreadnok and metalcasket say it's good, so downloading now plus the unfortunate $0.99 sale.
This game is amazing!!!!!! I feel ashamed that I had to wait for the sale to get it! Anyone with a love for good design and creative indie devs should have this as an instabuy on their phones! Why the hell haven't TA or PG reviewed this gem?! I can't believe you made this all alone! It feels so well polished?!!!!
Thank you so very much everyone! While sales haven't been what I hoped (and I didn't hope for too much), the reactions to the game are overwhelming! I'm getting positiv feedback from all sides. The game is featured in canada, thats something. And hopefully some countries will pick it up next week. It came out wednesday, so it's possible that it was simply too short notice for some countries. We'll see. Anyway, thanks! If you liked Partyrs, please give it here on toucharcade and in the appstore good ratings. It helps a lot to get noticed.
Hmm i thought this was some kind of multiplayer partygame , so I skipped iT without reading the description. My mistake! Getting this game now # Edit: played Some levels and I really like it! The game mechanism reminds me of girls like robots.
This game is also quite similar to the excellent Joining Hands games. Partyrs is very well done and with an appealing art style.
I usually harass those review sites on twitter till they review the games I love I'd suggest you all send a tweet or message as well so we can give the little guys a chance for once instead of the big names that get exposure everywhere regardless If you like the game send a tweet to your favorate review site and ask them why they didn't review it it's time to use the voice of the people for good
Hi Shelly, I'm enjoying Partyrs, but can you confirm that it's actually possible to solve all levels with 3 stars? There are some, even near the beginning, that frankly seem impossible to do in the required number of moves.
yep, I believe it is possible. I checked every one of them. On which one are you struggling? (send me a pic if possible thru PM)
