Yes, it does run absolutely smooth on an iPod touch 2G. However, the texture resolution will be a tad better on the 3GS.
Thanks for the Lite version I am Obliged (iKno it was not just for ME ) But then when's the game getting the touch controls? I kno I am being a bit too greedy but then, I want to have it as I like it
Looking forward to play this game, looks promising, especially with it's small-city atmosphere. This is something I was looking for! Do You have conceptional price already?
Hi EdoardoRossi, as you might see in the video, the phisics are completely 3D, so you can drive like you would expect from a pc or console game (jump, slide...)
I'd NOT spoon feed PpL, I understand, you are being kind & is ensuring that ur potential customer is not left unattended... but then, whts the whole point of Repeating the same thing in Every 2nd Post?
I have been waiting for Crazy Taxi port or a solid clone and this is finally one! Looks great and can't wait for it!
I've just played a BETA of this game, and am due to write an article on it. Overall, my impressions of it are pretty damn amazing. The graphics are cute, the world is cute and everything else is... cute! Physics are great, and the map may look small, but it's actually quite fun to free-roam in.
Hi! We are looking forward to read it then! Glad you seem to like it... as a developer, you sometimes get so lost in your product that you really honor that somebody else takes a look at your product from a different angle! We have been thinking of a development blog lately, documenting the stages of our new title (a bit of behind-the-scenes stuff) - this is a bit of extra work of course. Would that be something people could be interested in?
About the price point - US$3.99 (NZ$5.29) sounds good. Make sure you put in anti piracy though, as if its over 99c, people will complain.
Hi madprocessor, I'm a developer and I'm always interested in reading about other people's experiences. Especially since I've been working on a racing game too, but it's been put on hold due to the 99c problem.
Well your game is very good. The best part about it, is the fact that it has it's own little city in such a small area. It's great. I've published the hands-on preview. Unfortunately, due to the rules here I cannot post a link here to it [check my sig]. Sorry about the quality of my video, I couldn't find my HD camera
I think there finally is a solution via in-app purchases. Make a basic level of your core game for free and allow the full game as an in-app purchase at a "reasonable" rate (which would be mentioned in the app description). The biggest reason, I believe, the $0.99 apps have taken over is that people are afraid to risk more than that to find out the interesting sounding game is actually a POS. This in-app purchase of the full game makes converting up much easier than it even was going from lite to full versions in the past (a few less steps is really appreciated, IMHO).
This looks great! I'm going to guess that this will be published by Chillingo sooner or later? They seem to pick up a lot of indie titles posted on the forums.
Yeah, we have been discussing about pricing really long - most people just want the best game there is for practically nothing (or .99 that is) - and I can understand that people won't spend 7 bucks for something that just might be good. On the other side, when I walked into a large games retail store yesterday to buy a game for my nephew, I was practically forced to shell out 20 bucks for a Nintendo DS game that, when inserted into that wonderful entertainment system, looked like from the eighties. And well worse than the iPhone average. And the only way to judge if it was cool was to turn the box around and look at the painted artwork. (<- ok, blame me, I could just have researched some hours and bought Zelda, but he already had that) The point is, most iPhone owners already get quite solid content for a very small amount of money if you compare platforms like DS or PSP. And maybe at the risk that there are one or two games which are not worth their 2 dollars (Not ours of course ) - I guess if you feel your game is really worth a certain amount, try selling it for that. And it is sad to hear that you put the game on hold because of that... I think this market will still evolve a bit, hopefully.
