Hey, has anyone else noticed this? The dev is Lucas Pope, his company is 3909, which is his surname written in numbers the other way around, as seen on a mirror (Pope --> p0p3 --> look at it on a mirror, more or less). It's obvious that he has loads of imagination not only for his games btw, finally got to ending 20. Way cool!
Haha well spotted on the 3909, I was wondering about that. Totally agree this guy must have a "1 in a billion" kind of mind. Or maybe 1 in 100 million, but certainly more than a measly million
I just got around to playing this last night, and wow, I love this game. Can really lose track of time. I'm not sure I have all the mechanics down just yet, but I'm now fully addicted.
What happened!? This game is no longer available on the U.S. App Store. I feel terrible I deleted this awhile ago, and went to reinstall it today but it's gone. I can't find anything online about the game being removed.
Did you check in your purchase history? It appears in my purchase history, but I admit I have it installed, so I don't know if it would appear without having it installed. Obviously, after reading your post I'm not uninstalling it. Maybe the game got broken on iOS 8.4 and the dev removed it until he gets it fixed. Just a guess though... In his web page the link to the App Store is still there, but in the Spanish App Store it's also unavailable.
Yeah, it's weird as it shows in my purchase history but if I try installing from there it says no longer available. Hopefully your right and it shows up again. Definitely do not uninstall it.
Now after trying to install it from there then closing the App Store and reopening it, the game doesn't show in my purchase history.
I just checked the App Stores on both my iPad and MacBook Pro and it's definitely no longer available.
Same here at the German App Store. It said it's available at the US store, so I switched over but still no game. The name still appears in the search list if you enter the name. Strange.
I'm not happy about the game suddenly disappearing (we're investigating about it), but this joke almost makes it worth it. Almost!
A little bit of snooping around has led me to believe that the "3909" developer account may not have been renewed. The only other app on that account, Intro Thing, has also been pulled. I could be wrong though.
Even if removed, shouldn't it still be in the purchase history? Else, dislike the feeling we are renting apps from Apple instead of purchasing
Ironically, Papers, please is missing some paperwork. It will be back. Applestotzka strikes again. Lucas Pope (@dukope) 8/5/15, 2:41 AM @BitGameReviews Thanks for the heads up. Seems I need to sort out some updated dev member contract thing. Should be back soon. https://twitter.com/dukope/status/628818135026499588
