Guys this DOES get better as your guy levels up and mana gets a bit more plentiful. You still can't pop off shots wildly and the aim can be a bit unforgiving but it does get better. Give it a full chance by being slow and cautious the first couple levels. Let your mana recharge between battles and if you make a wrong turn you'll find more gold but also have more guys to kill.
Plus the devs are extremely active and care about the game and good or bad want to make it better and not only listen but incorporate feedback. These are the people we should support. I purchased the 50 pack of gems and purchased the +3 damage wand and the +75% mana recharge necklace. Regen is way better now. Also I'm loving the Lightning Mage! As soon as the gold doubler in app purchase appears in the game I'm hitting that buy button. Devs what other types of dungeons are you planning on adding? Also I was wondering if you might consider adding pets to the game? Pets we could level and that we could buy jewelry for to enhance their abilities. It would be a great gold sink too. Billy
Had this not come out as FTP I would have bought it without hesitation. As it is, I'll pass. Looks cool, but really dislike FTP.
I have another request devs, Can you put in a way, even if it's purchasable by IAP. A way to purchase a permanent special chest that would save to iCloud so that we could put items in and share those items between game save characters. I see several items I'd like to buy right now on my lightning Mage that would work perfectly on my fire Mage. If I could share it I would be so happy. This has been done in other games. If you'd like a list of games I'll provide it. It would work fine in this one. Also devs the health and mana potion gold costs are simply way way too high. Please lower them big time. The amount of gold given out is not balanced with the cost of the potions. Please lower them big time. Also, ok I swear this is the last also for this post, can you put a small crosshairs where our weapon will hit so we have a better way to aim? Especially with the Lightning I keep missing. And as to others saying they don't like free to play, I hate free to play too. But once they out in a double coin IAP of you make that one purchase you'll have a premium game. There's no forced ads in this game. There's no energy timer mechanics of any kind. The devs are active and listening and are trying. Give it a chance. Working and considering items in next update (1 or 2 times) - polishing UI : clear messages and info. - potion : price down. dropped in game . - various mob. patterns mage- ice/poison attack, explosive magic ball attack, homing magic ball. magic shield. mob with sword & shield, spear and etc. - magic orb : it's kind of simple pet. this will recover or increase life/mana/gold/exp. sharing all characters.(with jewels) - speed up magic ball : wizards & monsters. - Chest on town to share items with wizards.(unlock with jewels) -------- - new area : random or fixed dungeon - new class ------- - iPad supports - Mfi support (tentative) We are gathering all feedbacks to enhance and polish 'Paper Wizard'. See guys/gals. Whether or not you like free to play, look at this response. This is why we need to support these developers. They care. I don't buy consumable IAP but this response just earned them $6. I'm buying 2 packs of 50 gems right now. I'm going to see what the shop has to offer or buy a ton of skill tree points. Btw I started an ice Mage. I've changed my mind. The ice Mage totally owns once you upgrade the two main attacks a few times. I'm plastering those skeletons lol Billy
Devs, A few more questions and then a suggestion: What does it take to be able to use skill points to upgrade the battle mage skill? I've saved up points and it never becomes greyed out? I simply cannot upgrade it even once and it would really help. Do you have to reach a certain level first? Why can't I unequip items ? I have two useless items equipped. I wanted to unequip and sell them and I can't. Why can't I? Suggestion, please make gems available during regular playing. Either in chests or on harder enemies. The drop rate can be medium or low. And perhaps you could have it so as soon as you pick one up you'd be given the opportunity to double it if you watch an ad right then and there. This would make the gems accessible to people who cannot afford to pay so they can partake in purchasing skill points and other items. It would also make you more revenue because I think doubling them for an ad is a fair offer that I would do. Also can you please make the game pause if I'm looking in my inventory or changing spells. I've died twice today because I was looking at an item I picked up and the game in the background didn't pause and a monster plastered me. It should pause. What do you think? Also as devs what is your favorite character class and why? I'm really having a hard time choosing what I like the most. I keep gravitating towards that lightning Mage but the ice Mage with that spread spell is absolutely awesome too. Argh! Billy
Battle mage requires wizard lv.5. Unequiping item will be updated. We didn't consider in planning cause item price is low...but I think we should include this function. (this would be included v1.2.0. We are planning to update 1.1.0 next week !) About gems, we will consider to get from Boss or chest. Your idea is great. To get more gems, watch advert !! Game pause is O.K. (v1.1.0) My favorite class is fire. Because fire wall is very effective and cheap in mana. Fire ball is somewhat hard to control, it's great to combine with fire wall & ring of fire ! Considering of basic skill, ice ball and lightning bolt is great. As you know ice ball has piercing damage for every enemies on it's direction despite of low damage. It's great if you enjoy to destroy all at once. But second&third skill is somewhat....not good. Lightning bolt is great if you can control RIGHT JOYSTICK. This skill consumes mana by a second so you could circle around all direction regardless of the number of enemies. I think 3 classes are well balanced. For beginner ice ball & lightning bolt are suitable. Fire ball is for experts. Thanks !!
Thank you for such a detailed opinion on the classes. It was very helpful. I'm going back to the fire Mage and see how things go. I got to level 6 and put 2 points into battle Mage and wow what a difference. Ok one more suggestion! Instead of the small spell icon on the bottom of the screen, can you make that button simply switch between attack 1 and 2. The reason I ask is you already have button for the other 3 attacks by the right stick. When I'm surrounded with the fire Mage I like to switch to the flame thrower, but I have to first hit that spell icon and then select it and then exit out. Wouldn't it be quicker and easier to simply have that button switch between attacks 1 and 2? We can already go to our spell book by clicking on the character portrait. What do you think? Also I've played the complete second dungeon and haven't gotten a single piece of loot. Only gold. Is this intended? On my fire Mage I have yet to get one piece of loot at all. It's all been gold which I've traded for experience because the shop hasn't had anythig good that I wanted to buy. Billy
Oh and just so everyone else knows. This game has full iCloud support. I deleted the game. I reinstalled it and all of my characters were right as I left off. They loaded up with no problem. Gotta love cloud saving! So any gem purchases are protected. Billy
Yeah everybody always says that... Problem is they DONT buy in any actual numbers hence the rise and sad necessity of FTPI. There's also WAY to much product. Since Apple lets on any app so they can say "we have a billion games on the App Store" there is no way a Dev can even get his game seen unless he has an EA sized advertising budget. Hundreds of apps appear daily. Thank goodness for TA as it helps vet these games to some degree.
The chest would give gold or item according to grades & item rate. (We have 4 grades with different colors) Bosses and graveyard drop items always !
I tried the graveyard but wow it's way too intense. You need to have excellent equipment and a high level to play. The waves spawn non stop and you don't have a chance to regenerate mana. You don't get a break at all to regenerate mana. And there's so many you can't run to a safe spot. Also another question. With the npc that gives you buffs or the graveyard. One option says buffs with gem with advert. I've watched multiple advertisements. I watched 5 in a row. I have not received a single gem. So I don't understand. Why does it say it will give me a gem? There should also be a timer somewhere on the screen, maybe a count down at the top, so I know how much longer I have left on the buffs while I'm playing. I'm also on dungeon 4 and still have yet to get one item on the fire Mage. I've gotten items on all my other mages. Just not the fire Mage. I feel like it's a bug. There needs to be better explanation of things. Billy
After you've watched an ad, at the screen where you can buy buffs etc., it says on the top how many ads you've watched. On the list one of the items you can buy with your views is gems. Essentially your views works like a currency
