Yeah... What kind of coment is that. If a really good premium game was released as F2P would he say the same thing?
I was wondering if the items like crates and barrels lying everywhere are destructible with items inside, because most rpg would and not here (or maybe I am not playing it right). Also at level 1, I saw an item stuck on the ground that looks like another wizard wand near a chest but it cannot be picked up. Is it meant to be there or just a decoration?
Crates and barrels are not destructible. Usually you could get items from Boss monster or chest. It shapes like lather backpack. Wand is just a decorative object. Thanks.
First looked like a sequel to Solomon's Keep/Graveyard (hopefully someone remembers those games), but then it felt kind of awkward running out of MP after a few shots. I still wish this game best of luck and I might retry this game at a later point.
First I am not a he I am a she. Second, I was trying to be nice and positive even though this game is not for me. I am a premium only gamer just as some are f2p only. Some are both. If this was a premium game I would have bought it in a heartbeat. People need to quit using these game forums to argue f2p vs premium there is a thread for that in general discussion. No need to be sarcastic or rude over a difference of opinion.
I don't understand the game at all. You're playing a mage whose only attack skill is to cast a spell, which requires Mana. You run out of mana in short order and have to buy more mana pots, which cost more than multiple runs through the dungeon. But you can't kill more than a handful of enemies in said dungeon before your mana runs out. Just cause I'm a masochist I tested last night and it took me a half hour to earn enough gold to buy a mana pot, which I assume runs out quickly. Just doesn't seem to be worth the hassle.
You should make your own skill-tree. First mana level is important . FOCUS skill will lower your mana cost. Just stand without movement if you want to recharge your mana more quickly. The rate of mana recovery would be adjusted next update.
I really enjoy the visuals! I'm playing it on iPad and it still looks really great. Unfortunately for me the visuals aren't enough to keep me interested. Where I'm getting really frustrated is that the controls for firing the magic don't seem to work very well. Often times it fires in a direction other than what I am intending, which is a big deal since you have a limited amount of magic (ammo) so missing really is a problem. I think with some tweaking this game could be really great.
Slow start, dungeons are super bland, no map, ran out of MP no idea what to do. Went to town and MP bottle was outrageously expensive. Deleted.
Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel I enjoyed playing it also I have really to mention that as far as I can tell the beginning of the Game feels pretty rough since your Mages not only feels (at least at the beginning) totally underpowered but also kinda lost and i would lie if I would say that I didn`t get at least once lost in the Map (Level 3) and had to return to a location of the Map that I knew that I hadn`t yet complete went into all the directions to leave the place. As soon as I had kinda leveled my Mage up (Level 4-5) things slowly got into where they should have been straight from the beginning and the overall Gameplay Flow felt good and kind more balanced then it had at the beginning... Paper Wizard (Dual-stick Magic Shooting RPG) isn`t a bad Game at all but a bit more balancing and here and there a bit more polishing over the upcoming months will for sure help the Game to stand out if it comes to those kind of Game on the iTunes Store. Your Mana is slowly restoring and as you level up your Mage that Timer will slowly increase and you will that way get more Mana then you can actually spent at some point. There are also two Skills if it comes to your Mana that you should upgrade as soon as you get some Skill Points with the first "Level Up" so you will don`t run out of Mana too soon while you are fighting for your Life. Here is where you will find the Skill to increase the speed of your Mana Restore:
The right joystick is for firing basic magic. If you released before the animation of fire finished, the direction of firing might not be what you intended. It's because the firing event is triggered at the end of animation. We'll check this whether change the trigger point into a starting point. Thank you for you feedback.
