Hello everyone! I'm super happy as my first game has just been approved by Apple and is going to be released towards the end of the week. I will be giving out codes as soon as I get everything ready - I would be really happy if someone wants to play my game! Check out the gameplay video. Features: Intuitive and easy to pick up control scheme Runs at a super fluid 60 frames-per-second Unique did-I-draw-this? art style An awesome thumping soundtrack Unlockable additional space ships and music Player progression and levelling system Detailed statistics Here is a description: Game Division proudly presents Paper Rocket our first game release for Apple Iphone! You control a badly drawn spaceship. Your mission: DONT CRASH! Tilt your phone to avoid obstacles while your speed increases by the second. Screenshots do not do this game justice! Travelling through paper space with steadly increasing speed, beats blasting from your speakers and your rocket responding to your slightest movements needs to be experienced first hand! If you still have doubts, check out THIS video. I'll post here as soon as Paper Rocket is released. Oh and of course I'll answer any questions you may have. Thanks for reading! Sincerely Kristina
That's the art direction for the game! Also, there seems to be a problem with the artistic part of my brain because I couldn't seem to draw any better no matter how hard I tried - so I was kind of stuck with this art direction
That's the art style of the game (paper/doodle graphics). This looks great. Could be the next doodle jump if you ask me.
Thanks for your comments guys - they mean a lot to me! Cube field looks interesting from screenshots I saw. In Paper Rocket you have another axis to work with - something which becomes really important at higher speeds to reach further into paper space Release very soon - I'll add a post to the iPhone game section where you can request a copy for free if you feel like trying it out. Sincerely Kristina
It starts out easier most of the time but even when the ship travels slowly you need to have a steady hand as some of the segments can be tricky. Once you reach high speeds it's all about anticipating what will come next and trying to keep your ship on the top half of the screen to give yourself some breathing room. I'm not sure what you mean by "clear on the background" but if you're worried that the background and obstacles will be hard to tell apart, I can assure you this is not a problem Thanks for you post!
Game is out!!!! See this thread for promo codes! Thanks for playing! http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=86817
