You can listen to your own music or podcasts. The little opening cinematic will probably over ride since it uses the iPod player but, after that you can mute the game and listen to whatever you like. Using the actual iPod player works great. As far as independent Podcast apps, I tested a couple myself with no problems but, there are always a unknown variables when using additional memory. And of course it supports fast switching so, you can just double tap the home button anytime without losing your spot.
Crap. I hoped Apple would have rushed approval of one of the most anticipated games ever but it wasnt released today. I stayed up for it (it;s 02:45 AM here in Europe). Ah: there's always hope for next week.
This will be the highlight game for my iPad 2. I just know it. Everything I've seen in regard to Paper Monsters just resonates so deeply, with my inner child...I'm sure it will be a platform defining game, much like SM3DL has been a buoy for 3DS. I haven't been keen on iOS as a gaming platform, as 3DS has really begun a soaring and momentous elevation in game selection. I have a PSVita preordered and paid off (my XMas gift this past holiday) - so I've been watching other platforms gather their wares and have had attention elsewhere. Yet, when a gem comes from Crescent Moon, my attention and focus returns. They've got excellent talent and this game seems primed for liftoff.
I don't usually download games that have big files sizes but this is a MUST I want to start finishing a few games so I can delete them to make room for this.. How big is the file size? This is going to be the best platformer, easily, on iOS. I can hardly believe something so gorgeous will be blessing my iPad screen with it's god like beauty in just a few days O.M.G! Is this a date set release for Wednesday night? Or can it come out at any moment when apple approves it?
http://papermonsterland.com/webgames/dragndash.html here's the mini game if you missed it 2 pages back..
New gameplay footage at the end of the trailer. This looks awesome! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_r5Lp7xSqiw&feature=player_embedded Can't wait.
A question for developers: why for some games the release date is announced even a month before and for others there is never certainty? how this system works? Thank's.
Normally when you submit an application, Apple reviews it and then it gets rejected or released. Alternatively, the developer could set it not to release as soon as its approved and instead hold it until the date they've chosen. This can be put to good use for developers who want to get the word out on when they're app will be released and also to allow developers to get reviews out before or when the app is released. I'm really looking forward to this game. I feel there's a lack of really good, iOS designed platformers and this looks like it might change that. It also gives me a huge LittleBigPlanet vibe as far as the way the art looks.
I'm gonna snatch this one up when it comes out because it reminds me of one of the best platformers ever - littlebigplanet. I just hope this one doesn't disappoint the way everquest did
If the controls are anywhere near as loose as in LBP, I'll be steering clear of this title, even after having looked forward to it for this long.
