Don't get me wrong. I know nothing about pricing in the App Store. May be 2x the price will sell half the amount of copies. But for what I saw from the game 0,79 € is a steal. Nice screenshot btw.!

Edit: Now watching screenshot on big screen (iPad), looks awesome!

    Teaser Trailer Video?

Hi Josh, I realize you are super busy, but I wanted to inquire if we are going to see some kind of a trailer that demos a few levels and features?

I'm really hoping to own this game soon!

Paper Monsters has been, hands down, my most anticipated game on iOS since it was announced.

This screen with the octopus reaffirms that.

Ok, I'll just go ahead and address this and get it out of the way.

Is there going to be some IAP?
    yes.

"Why not just launch at 6.99, I would rather pay a premium price up front than get nickeled and dimed to death by IAP crap"

So would I but, quite simply there are a ton of awesome .99 cent games to compete with.
At .99 more people will be able to play Paper Monsters.
We also don't plan on nickel and diming anyone to death (see next)

Ok, so then how will IAP work in paper monsters?
A lot of games say you don't need the IAP if you don't want it but, still let you purchase items that assist your gameplay (weapons, powerups, etc)
In paper monsters the only items available via IAP are purely cosmetic.
We aren't gonna be sneaky about it or force you into buying anything.
It just simply lets us launch at .99 and gets Paper Monsters to as many people as possible.

As an indie developer who has sacrificed just about everything for the last year the reality is we have to be able to compete and a little IAP really goes along ways. But, there is absolutely no way i would ever take advantage of the very gamers that allow us to do this by being shady or misleading.
For many of us IAP is the equivalent of a "donate" button on a website. Thats why you won't be needing any of the IAP stuff to assist your gameplay. It's 100% optional.

that's AWESOME to hear. I love IAPs that are really there just to support the developers. I'm more inclined to purchase those than any other IAPs... =oP

Thank you for sharing this information. The cosmetic IAPs sounds ok for me. I would prefer a premium price but I see your point. I wish you best luck for sale numbers and hope I'll be able to buy your game soon :).

There is now another reason for platform-haters like me (please check previous post here, if you wish) to buy this. Just give me a release date and I will be there...

I don't know if this has been asked before but I just played The Incident and it has the possibility to play the game on the iPad using your iPhone as a controller. It's great fun. Is something like this planed for Paper Monsters, too?

How people complain about in app purchases is quite annoying. No one cares what you think. I wish someone could actually give a valid reason on why they don't like it.

People don't like being nickel and dimed to death in order to progress through a game. When a game punishes you for not ponying up extra cash then it is a problem. However, IAP like this shouldn't offend anyone.

I hate the fact that you can not transfer your games that have Iaps to your Ipad. You get punished for buying something you can see to play on. I hate them when they nickel and dime you to death. But some of these Iaps are 50 bucks come on. I had rather pay one price if its a good game would be worth it. I hope this will be on the Ipad too soon.

The developers stated it was going to be universal.

Why not? Most games that have IAP unlocks give you a way to install them on new devices for free.

    Yes, It is universal.
You can use IAP to get some cosmetic stuff for your character if you're into that sort of thing.
(see previous page for lengthy windy explanantion)
Paper Monsters also uses iCloud so anything is transferable.

Thanks again for all the questions.
