Yep, that's correct. There are worlds including all the classics. Hills, snow, underwater, caverns, boss lairs, etc. Each world has it's own boss too
I'm looking forward to this game more than any other for this year. The visuals and artwork are a massive step up on existing platformers for the iPhone device. The comments by the developer on it being a console sized game are really appealing, as other platformers are currenly quite short. LoE is the only other platformer I am currently very pleased with on the device, others never seem to live up to expectations. I am hopeful this game can cement its place on the appstore top 10 from the images so far. Keep up the good work and I am looking forward to the release!
So far our little dude's main power up is the dragon that allows you to shoot enemies. but, smaller powerups will be there for stuff like flying, swimming, ice, etc. There won't be 200 upgrades like an RPG or anything but, the amount of power ups will be right up there with any good platformer. Boss fights will also have unique mechanics to make gameplay stay fresh.
so when are you going to release a video demonstrating the game? + I'd like to hear a teaser of what the music will be like in the game
Some gameplay footage Touch Arcade posted a hands on with Josh from Crescent Moon at WWDC. Here is the paper monsters clip from that post. http://toucharcade.com/2011/06/09/wwdc-2011-crescent-moon-games-hands-on-videos/ This clip includes footage from one of the first levels and the first Boss fight
Definetly something different, although I think the area in wich the bossfight takes place just looks abit too empty!
That little bit of gameplay shown has me seriously excited! I hope the story's just as good too and we're not trying to save a princess who always falls for he same trap
