I've heard mixed reviews on the Pangea games...
Are Billy Frontier, Nanosaur and Bugdom2 worth 99 cents?
Should I take the jump on this sale?
A polished complete game for .99 is always a steal. grab bugdom and nano for sure.
Nanosaur is worth $10 IMO
i downloaded NANO and ENIGMO since i WANTED this game in like forever!
these are their most highly rated games!
LOL I actually went there to see if I can find something for 99 cents, and I realized I bought all their games I wanted already----for 99 cents LOL!!!
jesus christ. im not buying anything on BLACK FRIDAY.
i think i'll be spending around $50 bucks since im sure EVERYBODY will follow suit with pangea's move... since it's all about "eyes" right..
Nano still says $7.99 in the US app store, although $0.99 on the Pangea home page.
you made me nervous for a second... all of their 5 games is 0.99 except cro mag which still sits at 1.99
So I take it their price increase didn't go so well then huh?
I think that it could be a tactic also. You raise the price before black friday to 8 bucks, then on black friday do a price drop to 1 dollar. At least many new people will think "wow this game that was regularly priced at 8 bucks is now 1 dollar, what a steal" and will buy it.
but whatever finally a good price from their ridiculous 7.99 price.
Enigmo and cro-Mag Rally have been $2 for a really long time now. The other games have been at $8 for like a month I think. I bought Nanosaur 2 at $8 around Halloween - best $8 I've spent on this phone! 99 cents is a steal for any of those games, actually.
If you can get all of those games under $3 each, you're gaining a lot. Bugdom and Nanosaur are FULL games. They take a long time to finish and they're VERY good quality games. Pangea knows what they're doing
The only game I recommend against buying is Billy Frontier because that game is just plain stupid.
You might here people complaining that Bugdom isn't worth it. IT IS! The only problem with it is that you can't save wherever you want. You need to get to a checkpoint and that can take a while. So, it's not the best game if you just want an easy game that you can play for 3-5 minutes whenever you've got a little free time. It's definitely worth the $1 though.. it's a big game and it's lots of fun.
Currently my favorites (of Pangea's) in order are:
... Billy Frontier... trust me and just don't buy it
I wouldn't advise against buying Billy Frontier; you just have to be aware that it's more a collection of short 'mini-games' than one long adventure, therefore is different to all their other releases, and what people seem to expect from the company.
If you would pay for a shooting gallery game, or 'bunny hop', you're getting a couple of polished variations of each here (plus more). If you would only ever get a game with progression through levels and/or a storyline, this isn't that type.
They are all worth a dollar in my opinion. Even the craptastic Billy Frontier...
