Those are from THREE work in progress games. They will all share the same familiar Palm Kingdoms universe
I have tried a few times to get into Palm Kingdoms/Heroes and just when I think I'm getting it, something new and frustrating hangs me up. On the 2nd map, Avalanche, after I go into my castle, Silverspire, I can't get back out. I thought the "hero" button on the left of the screen would allow me to choose between the castle and my hero but I only have the option of selecting Silverspire. All I can do is build and end a day. Am I overlooking something or is this a bug? Edit: It seems like since the last time I tried to play the game, there was a pretty comprehensive tutorial added that really helps one to learn the game. Unfortunately, I still bumped into a barrier in progressing fairly early with the situation I've described below.
If you post a screenshot, and a more detailed description, that would help: 1) what you're doing 2) what you expect to happen 3) what actually happens
Could someone please tell me if the iPhone version is supports (iPhone4/4S) retina display? Thanks in advance.
First of all, apologies if my post came across as disrespectful or anything. I posted in frustration, just as I was really getting into the game and experienced this halt to my progress. I was just starting to get the sense that there is a really deep, fascinating game here, and then for about 20 minutes went through the hair-pulling experience of being unable to play. Anyway, I was walking about, getting my ass kicked by the different things on the map and thought that it might help me to return to the castle. Once there, I found that I could do a bunch of cool things to strengthen my character (not totally up to speed on all those cool things, but happy to find there were in fact some ways to possibly beef up my party). I was feeling good about myself and then, when I tried to get back to moving about the map, I found that I couldn't locate my hero. All I was able to see was the image below: The lower right hand icon was flashing, so I tapped it, ending the turn and the day. Then I thought, if I tap the icon on the left side of the screen that looks like a knight's helmet, it should let me choose my hero. However, doing that led me to the following screen: The only option is to select Silverspire, not my hero as I expected. I can get back into the menu to build more in the castle, but I can't get back to moving around the map. I guess this isn't a known bug, or you'd probably have understood what I was referring to before. More likely, it's not a bug, but rather just something I can't figure out how to navigate through.
If your ass got kicked, and you don't run from battle, your hero disappears. You can go to the castle now, slide right to the tavern screen, and buy a new hero. @pka4916: there will be. @Greyskull not yet, it's using pixel doubling right now
Thanks, didn't even realize you could swipe over to that screen! Unfortunately, since the update yesterday I am having a crashing issue on my 4G iPod, iOS 5.1. Not game-breaking, but if I let my device go to sleep, it closes the game and I lose the last couple turns or so of progress.
