Such a good game, and also an inspired idea for a quick fix. A GTA-style game with this art style and the same kind of physics would be really cool actually.
I very much agree. I'm having so much fun with PAKO now, and can't wait to see where Tree Man Games takes it from here.
Late to the party as always. Having lots of fun. Not great scores from me but loving the one more try addiction thing, would love to see bigger maps and I get a freeze/lag type thing regulary which sometimes causes me to crash but I'm confident that'll be fixed making a great game even better. Feel old at Red1 referring to video cassettes as old school. I'm throwing my chubby brown videos out now lol.
This game is pretty tight. It is as much a raw orbital thruster sim as it is a driving sim, let's face it we are doing controlled burns more than steering. There is a very fine line between the random nature of police encounters and the constant, never ending stress of maintaining control of the vehicle... Some thoughts... - Why would a hearse have a trunk, and don't those cops see I am fighting the undead here? Whose side are they on, exactly, and who parked that black truck there? That's a citation, come on. - When you first roost the gas in that fine muscle car, how many of us veered directly into that travel trailer? I don't care if it was a hint or not, I *need* a level on a holiday resort where I am driving that vehicle and pulling that trailer. Now. - That poor van is sucking wind with those surfboards on top, cut the ropes or something already! Whiplash insurance ain't cheap. - First car is best car.
I'm pretty sure the hiccups have to do with the "breaking news" banner being updated and some kind of bug with the information shown on it. Maybe there's a delay when it gets your name from GC to show it in the banner, as well as a bug with the amount of police cars crashed (it always shows 0, even though many can have been destroyed). The fact is the hiccup always happens when the breaking news banner is updated (it updates every XX seconds, being XX multiple of 10). I already told devs about it, so hopefully they'll get it fixed soon.
Ok I thought so. Agreed it's a very nice touch. And I'll def check out that app. Yeah, I'm just outside top 100 on the mall and had a crazy run going....I could've gone a bit longer but I just had one of those freeze moments of "I just blew my old time out if the water", and then, BAM, crash into a stupid tree. I had just dodged like 6 cops in a row too Lol
Kinda wish the levels were a tiny bit bigger, the fun I have is being able to drive a little longer. And i line the menu music so much that I wish if was selectable for the levels. Just my opinion.
Nice game initially but so far I've managed to find a "perfect" route for both Mall and Suburbia. The Mall level route is really easy to use and I've reached a score of 20 minutes (currently #7 world ranking, whatever that means) and afterwards just hit a wall to end the run as it was dull with no challange. Suberbia is a tiny trickier as the car is faster and requires some quick turns, but can still muster very high scores. The other levels I didn't have time to give a good go at, but looking at the scores, looks like the same routes can be found in these levels as well. That's kind of a bummer overall.
Well spotted. Hopefully they can fix it quickly, so I can really get into playing And I agree with those that would like to see other games using this engine; I've had a game idea in mind for years... decades in fact that would look and feel just like this. Except you could brake (both thumbs at once), the levels would be much larger, and you'd have weapons on your car
Yea. I've noticed it too. I'm running it on a 4S with only about 120MB of space left, so the lack of space may be the problem for me.
Hey guys! I have some ideas of vehicles and places that Treemengames can think about. Vehicles: - City Bus - MotorCycle or ATV (When you crash the person flies out like a rag doll) - Pickup truck with trailer (A challenge) - R/V - Sports Car - Hot Rod - Dune Buggy - Monster Truck - Stolen Police Car Places: - Downtown City - Desert Ghost Town - Amusment Park - Race Track - Neighborhood - Beach Harbor - Airport Thanks for reading my suggestions! And thank you Treemengames for making this awesome game!!
Has anyone commented yet on the fact that you can just do one lap around the outside of the map and then you won't see anymore police cars anymore and can just repeatedly do laps until you accidentally crash into a wall or house?
You mean Mall or Suburbia or both ones? Btw, Game Center bugs are now fixed. Update coming. There is a slight chance that we have to erase the leaderboards. Now it seems that the better your time is the more you get extra time because of this glitch. So those top times are not so good as you thought. And theres that possibility to circle around.
