    Trailer: http://handeye.tv/videos/pacific-fleet

It has been over 2 years in development and at last I am pleased to announce that Pacific Fleet is complete and will be submitted to the app store any day now.

The Empire of Japan has just attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. Can you rebuild the mighty United States Pacific Fleet and win back the Pacific from the expansionist Japanese Empire?

Pacific Fleet is an action game set upon a detailed simulation depicting naval warfare between the United States and Imperial Japan during World War II.

    Features:
    - Retina graphics depict the greatest war at sea in stunning full 3D
    - Historically based ships, aircraft, weapons and dozens of ship upgrades
    - A unique blend of deep strategic planning combined with quick tactical decisions
    - 45 combat zones to shell, bomb and torpedo on your way to Japan and victory
    - Complete 30 achievements including 12 historical battles
    - Sink ships with realistic buoyancy physics, not with hit-point bars!
    - Submarine warfare and carrier operations with bombers and torpedo bombers
    - Dynamic weather, shore bombardments and night engagements
    - Target specific ship subsystems to sink or cripple the enemy
    - 7 playable ships (submarine, destroyer, light cruiser, escort carrier, heavy cruiser, battleship, aircraft carrier)
    - Random ship placement, wind, weather and night engagements make each play-through unique

Coming August/September 2012 to iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

For more information you can follow the project on Facebook.

Looks good but make the explosions more realistic. Right now, it looks more cartoony:)

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah explosions were tricky and they've been kept fairly "flat" for performance reasons, not to mention my overall lack of artistic flair . For future releases we hope to add more ships per battle so performance is always a concern, but we're also very keen to do a full overhaul of all ship and special effect textures at some point.

But then we're also keen to add new ship classes, more aircraft, land based aircraft... gah what to do next?!?!

Just finished the last round of testing :D
Everything looks solid, found a few cosmetic bugs and tweaked the damage model a little more. The goal is to get it right and make a great impression with the first players to set out to sea with it.

Hope to have it submitted by end of day tomorrow.

The real promotion will likely come through reviews and word around the internet once it's out. Right now the naval action/simulation niche seems wide open with Ubisoft's Silent Hunter "surfboard shooter" at the action end and Battle Fleet for the iPad at the turn based strategy end. My hunch is there's a lot of simulation players looking for something more realistic and historical on the iOS platform.

Hopefully we've made a solid action/simulation game that will make a great impression with the first players to set sail with it. In the age of viral marketing I guess the question is, "Did you get the word out?" :D
