This final release build seems to have fixed all of the complaints I had in the beta, and the weapon upgrading system makes Overkill as addictive as ever. Loving the game so far.
I played through a few waves so far and it is a great light gun type game! The graphics are excellent, sounds are great, the game is definitely challenging, and there seems to be a lot of content. I cannot see me ever buying any medals, but getting them for leveling up is quite nice. I would imagine that eventually there will be no more levels to earn, but I could be wrong. One downside is that you definitely have to grind to get upgrades, money, and new levels. The plus is that the game will last a long, long time. So far I can recommend this as a download come Thursday and since its free there is really nothing to lose.
