I've been beta testing this as well for the past months and I can highly recommend it. The lack of a singleplayer/skirmish/AI is not only by design, but also out of necessity as a usable and challenging AI for such a game is quite a pain to code. I covered this in more detail in this thread over on the official OML Community Forums. To be honest, because the league-system tries to match you based on your skill, you really don't miss a singleplayer - as long as you have a constant internet connection. Pass'n'Play games do work completely offline, but they require your opponent(s) and allies to be physically close to you to pass your device around. There is also a thread with collected tips for new players from a few beta testers over on the OML forums. Have fun!
I knew I wouldn't be dissapointed by this game. It's brilliant. Great turn based strategy with lots of different ways to play. 5+ from me.
Game Impressions Just started my placement match. This game is OOZING with character and atmosphere. Wow. It's just as humorous as Tilt to Live, which is awesome. I'm not a fan of TBS games, but this looks like it could change that...
Just want to check I have this straight: $2.99 unlocks the full game and all future content and updates? No "other" IAP at all, no consumables, no "it's there but you don't really need it" nonsense? I mean, it looks that way, but I'm just reluctant to accept somebody finally got IAP right in a potentially popular game, without some sort of confirmation.

Uber pack is basically the whole game and any updates etc. The other packs are for the conservative people who buy one and only one team for example. The Uber pack is obviously the best in terms of value. And it's so fun playing such a variety of people now!
How come I don't get notifications when it's my turn? I checked my notification center and they are turned on.
