By the way, can you post a link please? I'm curious to see this after watching the previous replay.

Yes got 3 "victories" and left 1 when I knew about you could quit in their turn (I think he was playing "who surrenders first" game witout playing). Thank you OneManLeft for listening. You are awesome!

Really? I felt like you had the upperhand since the scrambler. If you kept him back a bit more, I think it could have ended a long time ago. And I really didn't anticipate you having enough wits to demolish both my soldiers in one turn. Nice move.

I was very scared, but that was probably because of the fog then. But again, check my 2nd comment on the match, watch the replay on turns 23 and 27, it could have turned out differently. (part of why the match was so nice is the analysis of those moments after scrambler died when I really felt it could go either way)

Nice job hiding your scrambler. I thought I did adequate scouting on turn 16, but that obviously wasn't the case. I thought you were scrambler free when I moved in with the counterattack.

I didn't notice how careless I was playing. I didn't even attack your base during turn 26 when I moved my runner. I should have played more aggressive in hindsight. I assumed I was playing from behind and didn't wanna overcommit and lose my last soldier. I was scared that he was gonna die and you were gonna just waltz straight to my base.

So I like this game, a small group of my friends have begun playing it, and we take turns when we can, which is pretty often most times, but has anyone noticed that a lot of people stopped playing? I had 5 league games going (trying to get placed) and all of them stopped taking moves, and some of them were moving almost immediately after I did previously.

Is the player-base already dying? or is it that I just haven't placed int he league and once I do it will be back to people taking their turns?

You can start other league matches, the first ones you win are the ones that count towards your classification, once inside a league, the other ones pile up and gives or takes points from your league position

I have also 5 league matches that don't move, on the verge of "winning", I think reading the news inside the app could resolve most of this situations...

I think for a free game, it's inevitable that there will be a sharp drop in player base after the initial few days. What should remain, is a smaller but much more dedicated community, which I would guess should still provide ample competition for some time to come.

    TheFrost,

I read the news inside the app, I know after 4 days they will vanish, I was just asking if anyone else sees this much abandoned games, and if it gets better once you get placed in your rank. And the 'league placement issues' aren't really specified as to what exactly that refers to so who knows what those are...

Sure it does get better when you are assigned to a leaque. The higher the leaque the more dedicated the users are to this game, the fewer the drop outs.
As other have said, I don't see any drop in user base or anything similar to that; to the contrary. However there are alot of people trying the game, start a few (friendly and ranked) matches and never come back for whatever reasons. Besides, you'll find those kind of opponents who don't want to loose, so they either start to go really slow or abandon this match (which will result in a loss after four days anyway) when they are about to loose.

After being placed to a leaque, I've personally never encountered an abandoned ranked macth anymore. FYI, this is in master leaque though, don't know about Fluffy Leaque etc.

Nowadays in league, there aren't many people who would abandon games anymore. You need to allow 24 hours for them to move, which they should if they intend on coming back.

It's less the league, and more the rank in the league. The number 1 won't stay 1 if they don't play, so the top bunch of each division is very active.

The game is excellent, however it needs better servers.

It is too buggy and also it takes too long to load and/or send a turn, no matter I'm on wifi or using 3G network, it is the same.

Also I think that 4 days is too long to wait.

Finally an undo feature would be highly recommended.

It is an improved version of Hero Academy in some fashion, but in order to be a couple of notches above it needs to do whatever Hero Academy is doing wrong and improve from it.

It has been a while since I was so addicted to a game, playing wherever I am. And for that I'm extremely thankful. A recommendation is a no brainer.

    Cheers,

Does not take long to load/send me =/
7 days was too long, but 4 days is good, let's say you don't want play on a weekend or whatever. Having pressure to play something you don't feel like playing is not good.
And finally, an undo feature could render the fog of war useless, and ultimately change the whole gameflow

I'm sorry but I have to say I disagree.

1st, this game can't have undos. It kills the purpose of fog of war. Sure, we all wish we had them for the case of human error, wrong move, itchy finger, bad wit count, but that would make scouts insanely OP and make field of sight and careful moving useless.

Then there's the 4 days. League allows for 7 and 14 and like it was said before, this will matter less and less once the hype train is over and dude, sometimes you do have a life and need the time, shit happens.

And last but not least, in my personal experience, the loading times are my unstable 3G fault. Sure there are times that it takes a long while to send, but more often than not when this happens I'll be notified about the lack of Internet and have to try again. Haven't tried with wifi as it is unavailable atm.
