Ok just sent you a challenge juuicetin. On the topic of scouts (they're the scouting unit, name it w/e you want), they're a good early game, but kinda vanish to support later on. Scouts only was also my initial strategy, and it overwhelms people that have no idea what they're doing, but against more experienced people, you realize that the counter scouter wins over the attacking scouter in the long run, and if you insist on this strategy you'll lose. As an example I could mention the randoms I've played, scouts destroyed them, I though I was awesome, but the when I went ahead and played against gabrien and btt, even though it is a strong strategy in the start, it spelled my doom later on vs gabrien, and I've had to completely ditch the strategy vs btt, because going to war head on with them, while fast, means a huge disadvantage when you lose them. Tl;dr I love the scouts but theyre very far from OP
Sorry if this has already been answered.... But is there a time limit for people to take a turn??? I've got about 20 games with people who haven't taken turns in 5 days... Wondering if these will be cleared out after a certain amount of time, or... What?
Gg with CroRock: outwitters://viewgame?id=ag5vdXR3aXR0ZXJzZ2FtZXIQCxIIR2FtZVJvb20Y-YM3DA I believe that you automatically win if your opponent doesn't make a turn within a week.
Yep, Khamous got me. My single-base gameplay is pretty poor, meh. He used Mobi to teleport his sniper in range of my base. Brutal. I'll get you next game!
It was quite a nice game. I though I was gonna lose it for most of it, specially since, as I mentioned, you countered my runner gameplay pretty effectively. I got pretty scared and mobi was kind of an all or nothing, 1st time I use a super in game. I found the match to be pretty interesting (with kind of a truce struck in the middle of it after we had nothing left) if you wanna watch: outwitters://viewgame?id=ag5vdXR3aXR0ZXJzZ2FtZXIQCxIIR2FtZVJvb20YpIQ4DA And yeah, I'm scared about the next match, this one was intense as it was.
Told you he's tricky. Actually, I see him experimenting more than anyone else I've played against so far, which is spot on right now. And yes, pretty intense game we're having at the moment. I think you might get me by a point; I probably let you get away with too much early on. I learn something new pretty much every game still though.
What's the deal with promoting, I'm in the fluffy league and went from 63 to 1 in one day and have 164 points and 23 (around) victories, how has anyone else fared with promotion?
Promotions etc aren't linked to points and victories alone. Or at all for points really. There is some hidden formula which decides things, but the main influences right now are: Win/loss ratio. 50 wins and 50 losses isn't as good as something like 15-1. Your matches after placement: These are more influential, so if you can do well in placement as well as matches straight after, you'll have a higher chance of being promoted.
Just finished one with Gabrien. Got back at him xP. One of the few games I found to be pretty interesting (worth posting) so far: outwitters://viewgame?id=ag5vdXR3aXR0ZXJzZ2FtZXIQCxIIR2FtZVJvb20YzeMsDA It's only 17 turns too, so if you have time, go check it out. Foundry and Long Nine are definitely my top 2 maps.
Got back at me too, but that definitely was not an exciting game, lol (complete stomp if anyone's wondering)
Be cool if there was an in depth stats page. Also, if you could look at a list of all divisions and click a name to see stats. Also, top player replays.
I must say: the more I play this the more the balance feels just right. No unit is overpowered. All are useful, and knowing which to use where and when is the major part of the learning process. The better players will play a balanced game and use everything at their disposal as required - which is as it should be.
What interesting game that was. I'm learning so much from all these replay. I was wondering how to you post your replay game?
This was a very interesting match. Very intense, and great use of Mobi at the end. Backtothis had a good setup going with the cannon tank thing, but at the wrong side of the map hehe. Thanks for posting this match. I've been working on trying to actually use the special units in a game; this battle and the one in the News show the use of Mobi quite well. Hold down for a second or two on a completed game and the option to copy replay link will show up. Post that with URL link /URL tags but with brackets around the URL's.
Yeah, I didn't think Mobi could move so far! Also, I quickly cannoned up there because I thought he had a runner close by that would kill it. Turns out, didn't. It's alright though, we're 1-1 now xP. That was the first time I ever made the special unit for the pirate guys, lol. I try to play most of my games on maps with 2 spawn points, so there really aren't many opportunities for super units. Edit: Looks like I'm 1-2 with him now. I really need to work out some better strategies for the smaller maps. Anyone here interested in a 2v2? Those should be pretty hectic..
