I've played 2 games so far, the second time I made it to the judges/architects. I think this game is absolutely great. It delivers just what I want: high difficulty, replay-ability (random galaxies), permant death and graphics sound and UI that create an appropriate atmosphere. Since the devs may be reading I'll add some further comments: I think, as has been suggested, that any kind of meta-game mechanic (progress that persists between games) would be a mistake here and would not work narratively. The translation while mostly good is very choppy in places and distracts from the otherwise very polished feel of the game. I didn't like or understand why my game ended upon reaching the architects. Why couldn't I continue on and explore further? If that dosent work design wise then the architects should kill you or assimilate you etc. Something to explain why I can't continue would feel less unfair. I think the price point is just where it should be. In conclusion, I love this game. Great job!
That's what I look for in a game nowadays is a real challenge. If you're dead, you're dead, no second chance. Start again. I believe I'm really going to like playing this game. From what I've heard this game is all about skill, managing your resources, making the appropriate decisions.
My brain might be running on slow mo today, because i cant figure out what the cryonics and cryonics alien update does?
ok this game looks good but is it going to be the same game every playthrough or is it random as much as FTL where you can play 200 times and never have the same playthrough?
You can just read the description of them. It tells you. Buuuuut here it is Spoiler shared cryonics reduces the amount of oxygen used up when traveling. Normal cryonics does nothing
The only game downloaded this week. Well, a good FTL clone without a need for team micromanagement. Well spent like one hour - will play more.
so when it gives you choices does the best answer change like FTL? or do you always know the best answer?
Urgh... How come Out There is not this week's editor's choice ? And to be even more cruel they chose Royal Revolt 2...
Just as bad: they also picked "Disco Zoo" over "Autumn Dynasty Warlords" for the other 'Editor's Choice", and featured "Laboratz" over "Card City Nights" under 'Best New Games'.
That makes Apple both unaware of what it publishes on the AppStore and clueless about gaming in general. Sad indeed.
Some of the answers seem to change, but others seem to be the same. The ones which change are the ones which involve the weird language. Some events have the same answer for sure.
No, there is nothing to support. No game lasts longer than 20mins. All based on GameCenter score and GameCenter acheivements.
