I can see a lot of blood and I like to play this games with my son... is there an option to turn off the blood bath?
This game is really awesome. First tower defense game that I have enjoyed in a bit cause I got burnt out in td games. But this game reminds me of starcraft, and that aspect is awesome! Really cool game!
Games totally bada$$. Beautiful TD game. Greatly enjoying myself. I'm on mission 4, I only see 20 missions? Is that correct?
Yes, but the level durations increase quite a lot the further in you get. We've got new content in the pipes too.
Yeah I saw Plus they have the armor system on the way. The more I dig into this the more I love it. The best TD we've gotten for a while, and that "Meet the Heroes" trailer is classic.
I'm like half asleep. Meant Zeillusion, lol But yeah, this is easily the best TD game I've played in quite some time. I'm liking it so much that the devs just got themselves a PC sale. I'll definitely be double dipping
As an Aussie I agree... I hope to make games one day but if there is no industry... Yeah. Buying now! Support indie!!! planckpixels.com
Great animations, humor, rpg elements. Please add an option to slow the game down so I can review the map, make upgrades heroes around and still enjoy the action. Action is so quick I can't enjoy what's going on because all my focus is on evaluating tower upgrades, etc. Keep current speed, just have a 1/2 speed option next to the pause button. Thanks
Hi Devs -- watched your trailer -- very convinced by people saying that it's like a KR/Battleheart cross -- and hugely put off by some apparently completely gratuitous #everydaysexism . Your choice of course -- it's your game -- and who knows? It might not lose you any other sales.
I have a question. If i upgraded a tower two times (gatling gun for example), then decided to upgrade it to a different towers (branch), do my upgrades (stats of the gatling gun) carry over to the new tower or it takes on the stats of the new tower?
Always awesome to support a developer who simultaneously releases on iOS and Android. Since my Note 3's on me way more than my iPad, I decided to go for the 'droid release, but if this ends up on my Must Have list, there's no reason not to double dip.
Bohemian - I guess we took on that risk when we went with the parody-esque overdone macho theme, but I'm sorry to hear it rubs you the wrong way. dukat111 - never imagined we'd get a slow down request! I don't know about a button but it'd be a great hero skill - scientist perhaps. tabs - regular upgrades don't carry over to specializations, so it's beneficial to plan early. A lesser known feature though is that you can change tower specialisations, then swap back to the original (and back, and back again) without any further build cost. Swapping between Needler and Anti-Air on a key location for example.
The rate at which you accumulate coins and gems is completely unproportional to the weapons on offer for each class. With all the heroes, to unlock the better weapons for each, grinding would take ages. Plus, if a hero dies, you have to revive him with gems. If this game wasn't freemium at heart, why the need for 2 currencies? Why does reviving a hero AFTER the mission is finished costs gems which you can buy with IAP and accumulates very very slowly through regular play? This game could have been fantastic without the IAP bullshit which is shoved into it. The core gameplay is fun, the bloody carnage is awesome, not sure about the balancing between the towers yet, so far the rockets seem over powered to the others (although I only finished level 8 so far), never mind that the basic towers are a complete Kingdom Rush ripoff with energy weapons replacing mages and impact weapons replacing archers. But still, the diversify of the advanced towers + the hero special powers give you a lot more to play with over Kingdom Rush. But again, not sure about the balancing of towers yet. But my biggest criticism is that the game is highly leaned towards free to play if you want to upgrade your heroes' weapons in a reasonable, balanced manner. In no way will you unlock the better weapons for each class with a regular play-through, it will require tons and tons of grinding to achieve this, or you'd need to buy those "Most Popular" labeled IAP packs.
Hey GiHubb, There's a lot to reply to here so I hope I catch everything - first I just want to say that if you had the top weapon on all of your heroes, the game would probably be so easy it'd no longer be fun. Also - earning xp and levelling up is much, much more important to a hero's power. There's no iAP shortcut for that. So for the longer version, I'll explain a bit further.. The number of weapons in the game (in terms of necessity) is somewhere in between the current set of levels and the headroom of having new ones on the way. The game is balanced such that you'd likely have all heroes somewhere in the mid-tier of weapons and then a couple favourites wielding something considerably better. If we need to adjust earnable coins upwards we will but if we add hard modes and extra levels, there'll be tonnes of extra stuff earned for the player. But again, there are lots of passive skills that increase DPS significantly without swapping weapons anyway. With hero deaths, we have that mechanic there for two reasons. First we love the idea of making deaths meaningful - we pondered it for a very long time and in the end we couldn't live without it in the game design. Secondly, when you have seven heroes it's a good excuse to try one you don't use often - and get them some extra levels. But that said, we found basically no instances of people running out of gems.. by the middle of the game you get 3-5 gems for every 3 star run - you can earn more than 50 between levels 4-20 - it would only be viable in freemium if we drastically reduced and restricted how many you could get, but we thought that'd be bad for game design and didn't want that to happen. We understand we're responsible for the perceptions we create though After a long period of extensive testing, we don't expect anyone to get "paywalled". If you do feel that way, it absolutely was not by design, and of course we'll keep listening to feedback as we get more of it.
This game oozes with raw absurdity, I hope this team does well because they have raised the bar for goofy humour. As a KR style TD it has fairly standard game mechanics, but the skill tree for the heroes is awesome and unlike KR the player has total control over the use of those skills. So far, loving it. I hope it can continue making me giggle through-out, because that has been worth the purchase alone so far.
