Got this a couple of days ago on te strength of the review, this thread, and the update. Sorry to say I don't really get the fuss. It's messy, ugly, confusing, samey, business-as-usual TD stuff. Maybe I'm just long over TDs. They used to be pretty much my go-to-genre on iOS but the Mars series was the last time I truly got engaged by one.
Anyone not able to open the app? It just twitches when I tap on the icon doesn't even open at all. Odd.
I forget how I do it, just spam rocket towers, and just try to get pass it wait until you have 3 workers then retry this level for 3 stars
I saw that tip earlier, and it didn't work. : ( Does it keep getting harder from here or is mission 4 just a random early difficulty spike? Edit: Tried spamming rockets two more times and it finally worked! Yeesh.
Try levelling your workers to higher level by replay mission 3. I heard the difficulty of mission4 in latest update is adjusted to be easier. I got trouble in mission 4, 8 other than that I'm cool, but I'm struggling on getting 3 stars like mission 19 and 20
I've been having fun grinding a few heroes but it seems that there's no money sink or gem sink in this game. I already have 1m+ money but have no way of spending it and I'm still around 30+ levels away from reaching 99 on my rocket hero. Would have to love some consumable item shop (extra help on some levels) or a few more expensive weapons/armor to buy. Btw, thanks for the great game.
quick question... does leveling up increase base stats as well or does it just allow additional skill points (3)?
Cloud sync? Hi, trying to use the cloud sync feature to sync between my iPhone (5s) and my iPad (Air). On the iPhone, I can "Save to Cloud", which is confirmed by "Save Successful", and I can "Restore from Cloud" again. On the iPad, if I say "Restore from Cloud", it says "You have no cloud saves to restore." That is right, as I saved nothing into the cloud on the iPad. I want to load my iPhone game. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!
Hey guys, apologies for not being more active in here over the past week, we've been trying to get issues fixed asap. @JohnDo - can you check you have iCloud and document syncing enabled on both devices? If no luck let us know and we'll try to help further. @chombiekay - yeah we decided to make every stat increase on heroes entirely optional so that builds are completely custom. We're just facilitating minmaxing really - it's frowned upon in some rpg circles but we think it's fun. @acetpop - we're designing something for the next version that'll address this. It seems like all players end up with so many gems that's there's just no use for them so we're looking at "HQ inventory" items to help deal with harder levels (particularly upcoming world). We probably won't make new weapons hugely more powerful (rather the focus on "different"), but instead make missions from 26 onwards more about tactical approach and good team design. @sweetdiss - we had lots of early feedback about mission 4 being way too easy, if we over compensated it was unintentional hope the rest of the missions have been going well. -- we'll post some work in progress stuff for new update content soon hopefully. thanks for all the support! pat@smg
Thanks, Pat. I played around with document syncing, toggling off and on on both devices, and now it works!
got 3 stars for all mission 1-20, now stuck on mission 21, even my workers are level 35 I feel I don't even got a chance.... any tips? Almost giving up UPDATE: never mind, move on to other games; good game at least I enjoyed the first 20 missions.
Sorry you got stuck here.. We did make the 5 new missions very challenging. I made a recording of a (REALLY REALLY BAD) play-through this morning, so hopefully it can provide some ideas for what to do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mc5TAYAzzUI I only finished with one star, mainly because: - I forgot to even build towers until mid way through the mission - my skill loadout was quite bad - I screwed up my skill timings a bunch of times I also meant to make this recording with less over-powered heroes (the Assault has top-tier gear), but that's what I had in my save slot. My tips for this map: - demolish the Wartoise at the start of each wave immediately, then focus on the Puffalins before lastly mopping up the Kaisers. If you fall behind at any point in that sequence the trouble comes fast. - Wartoise and Puffalin units are both slow, slow towers and slow-down skills will give you loads of extra time to deal with them - Bombardier is very recommended on this map - as seen in vid. Don't use Fragbomb like I did though as it will hardly affect the Wartoise units - Electrobomb is best after Deathpocalypse - Use a splash-damage hero to guard the HQ - you can distract/aggro several enemies at once that way and draw a lot of heat off the base. - Note how I was using the Sab's mine to remove a cluster of three Black Cods in one hit, also highly recommended on this map.
Your suggestion works - slow down enemies, is the key to win. I did put all Shock Towers around the HQ side by side deadbeamer towers, and build one shield emitter close to HQ; then bomber and rocketer stand close to HQ, sob run around to do supporting, you know what I got 3 stars in first try.... Mission 22 is piece of cake, 3 stars in first try coz' my workers are level high enough to beat it easy. Mission 23 is tough one, still stunk on it.
Is the HQ inventory thing necessary? One of the things I loved about this game and it's difficulty is that I never felt like IAP were needed to complete a level. If I failed I knew it was my fault.
