It took me a while to understand how primary and secondary skills work, so I am leaving a memo in case someone is having the same problem. First off, about the skill additional effect. Each skill has 3 additional effects to choose from. Even if you have unlocked all 3 additional effects, you can apply only one of them. Another note is about the secondary skill. At character level3, you get to select a secondary skill by talking to a guy right below the dungeon entrance. The difference between the primary and the secondary skill is whether an additional effect of a skill is applied or not. For example, for the Tiger Charge, you can attach the Tiger Climb effect if you choose the Tiger Charge as the primary skill, but only the Tiger Charge without any effect for your secondary skill. You can change the primary skill and the effect to attach upon selecting a character, or from the backpack menu.

This is great! I was considering buying the new characters but then I just recently saw that all their skills costed real money and it seemed like every thing costed a bit of money here and there. I'm glad they took user feedback and addressed it. I'll have to buy some characters. Though I wish they had a discount character bundle.
Ok whats the deal with the first boss? Bait and evade the horse charge->attack->repeat->dismount all great so far. bait and evade the horizontal thrust, the instant i try to attack he shield bash stunlocks me and damages half my health with the earth slam attack. Cannot find a safe attack window, any help?
Dodge through him, Tiger Charge, repeat. Using normal attacks against bosses are not recommended except the Arabic themed boss. You should remember that you can change the primary skill during your run anytime, as long as the skill is not in cool down.
I won’t be surprised if the same people start complaining that it take too much grind to unlock skills for free...
Beaten the normal mode. Not by skill though. I was extremely lucky with items and hidden room contents.
Just got the golden weapon loot for the first time, though it is not that powerful, it is still memorable.
Dodging through the boss didnt work for me, the roll isnt recovering fast enough to turn and attack. Instead i found if i move vertically in front of him he attacks, i walk at his back and attack twice and repeat he was easily beatable with basic attacks. Same worked for the second boss (some demonic old guy asking money) but i lost learning attack patterns. All in all i could love this, its almost Soul Knight 1.5 (even though i could never beat even normal mode i still loved it ) Would personally pay for a currency doubler and 1 continue each run. This and Guardian tales are my go-tos this month.
Ahh so frustrated. I used the Archer and almost beat the game. The last boss is ridiculous. Unfortunately the China boss is also equally as hard as the last boss imo so I had to use my revive there. Unfortunate.. Feels harsh going back in after I was just a couple life bars away from winning.
I was able to beat normal again as the elf with less optimal items. I agree that she is the most powerful among current heroes, with her lvl7 skill being able to kill bosses easily by negating majority of boss moves.
Have you tried Peddler? I think he is a really powerful character. Spoiller: how to get Peddler? Spoiler Beat the shopkeeper once, then you can unlock him in the lobby($2.99).
