Thanks Josh! Likewise, I’m looking forward to playing Aralon. I think with the tons of RPG fans on iOS, they deserve some great RPGs to play.

 

It's good to hear that this game is still going strong. I agree that there can never be too many western RPGs on the platform!

 

This is great! Your game seems to have much potential. There aren't a lot of original well written games with interesting stories on the platform. I just suggest that you talk about it here a little more to build up the hype - this is _the_ enthusiast site for iOS gaming, after all, and test it really well. I can't wait, personally!

Hell yeah. The more 3D RPGs, the better. There's a huge group of people out there (myself included) who are craving fun 3D RPGs with depth.

I completely agree. A little hype would be good. Post a screenshot here and there, maybe release a quick little teaser trailer, etc.

 

Is this game optimized for 3rd and 4th generation devices? You can get some really cool effects and graphics using OpenGL ES 2.0 and the four available shader execution units in the SGX GPU.

So whats the news? When can we expect this game?? Hopefully by the end of December

I really enjoyed playing aralon, and I am waiting with eager anticipation for the shadow sun. Josh and Alan, I really hope both you guys learn from each other and collaberate. I'm sure that together you guys could make something really great.

Well, they "estimated" the game will be released by the end of December. I guess that's not happening, unfortunately. Hopefully, it'll premiere in January.

EDIT: The game is delayed to Spring 2011. From the website:

 

The delay is both good and bad news. It's good because they seem to be taking the platform seriously, and are trying to make a very refined gaming experience. But it's bad because we probably have to wait another 3 or 4 months. Oh well. Patience, patience... Good things come to those who can wait...

The last post on the website was on 12-21, so I'm going to guess no.

 

Any updates yet....it's been a month. Sorry if I'm being pushy, just curious.

 

The creatures in the screenshots looked really amazing and they were using Unity, so I'm really looking forward to see what they come up with!

They must be trying hard to top Aralon

 

I'm sure both games will be better at somethings than the other game.
